2. Expected cost of OS X Snow Leopard full version   (11 Jun 2009)
I have a MacBook running Tiger. I would like to go to Snow Leopard when it is released to take advantage of the smaller footprint and better efficiency. I would like to take the most cost efficient route for my upgrade. I know that Leopard owners can upgrade for $29. I also know that I can get Leopard new for under $100 now that it has been out a while. That combo would allow me to get from Tiger to Snow Leopard for around $130. Does anyone remember how much the full version of Leopard was when...

3. Photoshop CS4 and Snow Leopard   (18 Apr 2009)
Hello, I've been toying with the idea of purchasing Photoshop CS4 for the occasional photo edit. I am not a design student or anything like that, I just enjoy photoshop for quick editing and photo manipulation. Now, I'm thinking about the future here and I want to know if this is the right time to buy? I want this software to be able to take full advantage of what Snow Leopard has to offer but I'm not sure that it does. Correct me if I'm wrong, but SL = 64 Bit CS4 = 32 Bit (for macs) right? Does...

4. Ok, now Leopard - Campus   (08 Apr 2009)
I'm not finding a lot of books dealing with Tiger. I'm finding a few books on Panther, and a handful more dealing with Leopard. I'm getting comfortable with my setup on Tiger, but I was thinking about running Leopard as a virtual system using Parallels. Or should I just install it? Will it certainly support all my apps? Another question has to do with RAM. I want to upgrade my two 528s to 3 gigs. Can I just drop a 2 gig stick into one of the available slots, or one 1 gig in each remaining slot,...

5. Burning Windows install CD's on Leopard   (04 Jun 2009)
Hey there people. I know this will most likely sound like somewhat of a retarded question, but it seems not many folks post info on this as I've googled quite a bit on it. I have the application "Burn" and am familiar with the unix side of it, but what is the best, most efficient method of copying an installation disk? I was asked to burn Windows 2003 Enterprise Server yesterday and wasn't sure what method to use to accomplish this. Is it as simple as dragging the disk icon to Trash - would that...

6. Air good enough for Snow Leopard?   (18 Jun 2009)
Will the new Rev C Macbook Air be good enough for Snow Leopard? I know that the requirement is only 1 GB of RAM and the new Air has double, but are there any issues with it? I am thinking about getting the Air but i have my doubts because I want something that will last 3 years and it almost seems more worthwhile to get the MBP 13" (but I love the portability of Air!)

8. How would Leopard run on a G5 ??   (22 Jun 2009)
I have 2.1 Ghz G5 iMac with 1GB of memory. I'm currently running Tiger but have been thinking about upgrading to Leopard. My concern is, is that although there are more features with Leopard, it may slow down my G5 as compared to Tiger. Thoughts?

9. The Leopard Man   (18 May 2009)
This was something that struck me in the shower, partially inspired by another author mentioning a carnival leopard man in another short story I read. There's a mess of other influences, but they're not so prominent. When I was ten I found a baby bird squatting awkwardly amongst the crocuses in our backyard. There is something in peach fuzz feathers, in disproportionate baby features that induces instant love. For a full day I tried to feed it worms, bread, milk, anything my slippery adolescent...

10. Upgrading ram on blackbook for snow leopard   (12 Jun 2009)
I have a Rev B Blackbook. Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz 1gb ram and 120gb hd. I am planning to purchase snow leopard when it releases but not sure if my computer will be good enough to handle it. Right now I am using tiger. My main uses for my mac is simply browse the net, download music, video chat..multimedia...etc...pretty much the basics...nothing really in depth..i dont game on my macbook.. As well i may considering using windows using bootcamp only I am not sure whether to upgrade to 2gb (2x1gb stick...
