1. UEFA to trial five officals   (02 Jun 2009)
In next years Eupora League, uefa have decided to trial five officals in each match to help out the refs, there will be the ref, the two linesmen and two extra officals behind the goals. What do you think about this ? Will it catch on or will it ruin the game by slowing it down ? Do you think that the FA should try something like this in the Carling Cup to see how it works in england ? I think it might be helpful regarding a different point of view on fouls/penalties and such but not much help i...

The Argentinian's two-year loan is set to expire at the end of the season and at present United seem reluctant to make the move permanent. 4. Is This What They Meant By Premier League Opposition?   (29 Apr 2009)
Premier League opposition, Premier League opposition, Premier League opposition: everyone seemed to think that FC Barcelona would never be tested until they confront one of the Big Four from the Premier League. They might have scored the most number of goals in the UEFA Champions League this season, their front three might be one of the most frightening in Spanish football history and they might have scored more league goals so far this season than Manchester United, Inter Milan and VfL Wolfsbur...

6. From BSN/BSS to the Premier   (28 May 2009)
Wondered if anyone else has taken a team from the Blue Square South/North all the way to the top flight and beyond? I chose Gateshead for this challenge as they were newly promoted to the BSN but also had a massive 11,000 seater stadium which I thought would be decent even in the Championship. My record is as follows: 2008/09 - Won Blue Square North 2009/10 - Won Blue Square Premier 2010/11 - Won League 2 2011/12 - 2nd in League 1 2012/13 - 2nd in Championship 2013/14 - 11th in Premier League 20...

8. Another thread about FOX Sports(LA).   (09 Apr 2009)
Well this isn't to discuss if it's too meixcan too argentinean or whatever. But as you may know(or in case you didn't know) starting next season FOX Sports(Unsure about other parts but in Latin America) will broadcast the UEFA Champions League, UEFA League Europe and UEFA Super Cup, which has been announced by some commentators in Libertadores' matches. 9. FIFA's 6+5 Rule.   (26 Jun 2009)
The Rule At the beginning of each match, each club must field at least 6 players eligible to play for the national team of the country of the club. However, there is no restriction on the number of non-eligible players under contract with the club, nor on substitutes to avoid non-sportive constraints on the coaches (potentially 3+8 at the end of a match). The objective is to have an incremental implementation starting at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season to give clubs time to adjust their te...
