Anyone ever think about becoming a sports agent?
(23 Apr 2009)
My nephew who is a senior in high school wants to become a sports agent. He knows about the competition in this field but it doesn't seem to bother him. He has a 3.0, anyone know some good schools with good sports management programs he can get into? Also anyone here going to school for sports management?

Thinking about getting into sports again
(30 Jun 2009)
These past couple years I've been out of the loop for sports.. I don't know why but I can just never find the time to watch games, read the paper or even listen to the news. Hell the last time I was able to watch the weather report was like 3 weeks ago. I just bring my umbrella to work with me and back home every day just in case it rains. I never know :\
How do you guys do it? How are you so into sports? I work from 8:30 AM - 7 PM and i get home around 9.. by that time I'm exhausted and just ho...

Off leash dog sports & the APBT - opinions?
(09 Apr 2009)
I was thinking about the attack that took place on a member's APBT at a flyball competition. Do you think off-leash dog sports are appropriate for the APBT?
For me the answer is a resounding NO. Hennessey did great, by all means major kudos to both the dog & owner. But should something ever go wrong & if an APBT - any APBT - were to get into a fight, even if it were defending itself, we all know who would be blamed. For example, what if it were Tiger & I out there & Tiger shredded that other dog...

Hey guys,
I have had a couple of suggestions on our tournaments, and one of them is to change the Halo 3 tournament to Call of Duty 4

Thinking about Refreshing the Firefox Icon
(15 May 2009)
As we get closer to releasing Shiretoko (Firefox 3.5) we are considering that this might be a good time to update and evolve the Firefox application icon. We will likely be leveraging some conceptual work created by Jon Hicks during the development of Firefox 3, but otherwise we are just now getting started.
As the project progresses I'll be posting the creative briefs as we send them out, draft artwork as it comes in, and I'll be highlighting some of the feedback we are receiving from the commu...

something to think about
(03 May 2009)
Quote: : Not long ago, sports writer Selena Roberts compared the Duke lacrosse players to gang members and career criminals.
She claimed that the playersÂ’ unwillingness to confess to or snitch about a rape (that did not happen) was the equivalent of drug dealers and gang members promoting antisnitching campaigns.
When since-disgraced district attorney Mike Nifong whipped up a media posse to rain justice on the drunken, male college students, Roberts jumped on the fastest, most influential horse,...

Orient fans have painful Hearnia to think about
(08 Jun 2009)
Just spent much of my afternoon writing a column for the Orient rivals site. I usually do "Match Previews" but have come up with this fairly emotional piece.
Quote: : After fourteen years in charge we look back on Barry Hearn's rein as Orient chairman and look ahead to the future and discuss what that holds for Barry and most importantly, the club. Quote: :
In 1995, Leyton Orient Football Club's one hundred and fourteen existence looked to be in jeopardy when chairman Tony Wood lost his coffee g...

Universal Sports and cycling coverage
(29 May 2009)
I wrote Universal Sports to thank them for carrying the Giro live. I would encourage everyone to let them know that you appreciate that they cover cycling events. I got this response:
"Thank you for your comments and feedback. Your opinions are valued and will help shape our broadcasting and streaming in the future. We are working hard to bring you the best in Olympic sports programming, and with vocal support like yours, we hope to bring even more events like the Giro d'Italia to our online and...
