1. Power port relocate and "Start Engine" button...   (31 May 2009)
Got a little adventurous today. Mostly tired of my iPhone charge cord always being tangled up around the shifter. I keep my iPhone in the cubby behind the shifter next to the parking brake, sometimes under the parking brake handle itself. I don’t like it in the sunglasses cubby and the cord was still obnoxious and in the way there as well. Being that is the only use I have for the 12v power port, ( Valentine 1 is to be hardwired just as I had it in my 280-Z, Q-45 and 300-ZX ) the most logical lo...

5. Console midcrisis dilemma, help?   (27 Jun 2009)
Ok so here's the deal. Recently I sold off a gigantic chunk of my collection and left me with nothing but the exclusives left on each system. Having made each system my main before, I'll explain a little bit about each of my experiences. System looked gorgeous on my HDTV, but my PS3 outshone it because it came with HDMI unlike the 360 so it didn't look as good. This is just a minor hindrance now because I can just get a new one now. I'll explain the meaning of that later on. I started my multipl...

6. 2001 SOM Camaro SS Convertible   (02 Jul 2009)
This 2001 SS convertible is only one of two made with the sunset orange metallic paint, tan interior and tan top. There were 37 six speed cars built but only two were ordered just alike from the same owners for a husband and wife. I have all documentation on the car, birth certificate, all rpo codes build sheet and so on. It isn't a daily driver but has 45k miles on it. Had the engine totally redone , heads cam, bottom end, headers and so on (list of mods to come). Found out it came with a LS6 (...

DIY injector overhaul Most never think about doing a injector teardown and freshen up, when doing their heads or intakes manifolds. The fuel injector serve as as the last items before fuel is injected into the manifold. Most cars use Direct Port injection and some new items out of Germany and Japan use direct cylinder injection similar to how a diesel injects fuel. here's my DIY. Tools that you will need; 1 old tooth brush ( for cleaning the body) 1 woodscrew 1 small flathead screw driver 2 vise...

9. 37 Loving Miles With #9550   (14 Jun 2009)
Well, I officially took delivery yesterday and although the ground effects and full car rally stripes still needed to be painted/installed (will post pictures when the work is done hopefully this week), I had the car for the weekend before the work will be done. I have to say I owe everybody in Oshawa, FBodfather, the mods/admins here and anybody else I whined to/pissed off because my car was taking forever to get here, a sincere, heartfelt apology. I genuinely feel embarassed and upset with mys...

10. My 'L' shaped garage   (08 Jun 2009)
Hi guys, Well since I introduced myself, I've actually already built the garage/ wksp and very nearly finished the external works. The story so far. I started thinking about a garage a few years ago but didn't want to have the usual 'single can't open the doors properly' type that we get here in the UK. I'm a heating engineer and wanted cupboards for boiler spares and radiator valves etc. I came up with an L shape that served both my needs - a home for my VW Golf and a workshop for work. And it...
