Everybody SHOULD Support Decriminalization of Cannabis... EVERYBODY
(30 Apr 2009)
Notice I said decriminalized, not legalized. If you don't think cannabis should be legalized, you probably have your reasons, and some of them are probably reasonable. But there is no reason anyone should want their fellow human beings to be labelled as criminals, as a result of making a personal decision, to use a generally harmless substance, whether it be for recreation, or medicine.
With everything we know about cannabis these days, there is no reason why our society should be so openly tole...

Do You Think Cannabis Should Be Legal -
(11 May 2009)
I haven't been on these forums in a while so sorry if this is an annoying topic.
Things to think about before voting:
Fact: There are no recorded deaths contributed to cannabis use alone.
Fact: There is no convincing scientific evidence that marijuana causes psychological damage or mental illness in either teenagers or adults.
Fact: Moderate smoking of marijuana appears to pose minimal danger to the lungs.
Fact: Marijuana has been shown to be effective in reducing the nausea induced by cancer ch...

UK : Experts warn of mental health risks of cannabis
(12 Jun 2009)
Hi
(IMG: http://pictures.directnews.co.uk/liveimages/Cannabis_695_19216679_0_0_12050_300.jpg )
Despite 3,000 cannabis farms being raided last year, police are concerned that they are still a long way off closing them all.
The Crimestoppers charity issued the warning as part of its National Tackling Drugs Week.
There are concerns that a more potent form of cannabis called skunk is becoming more widely available, with experts warning of the future mental health problems smokers risk facing.
There...

Your thoughts on the legal status of Marijuana Cannabis.
(01 Jun 2009)
In particular in the USA/UK/AUS/CAN.
Im not interested in it's status in Japan, they are beyond discussion, but the west has shown itself to be not above open and frank consideration on the issue.
Im just curious what the educated people of BD think about the status of Mary Jane around the world.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate.

Long-term effects of cannabis consumption?
(19 May 2009)
This is maybe a bit of a controversial topic as people won't be eager to describe their own experiences or whatever. I don't even know how many cannabis consumers there are on this board, or how many know people who have been using this "drug".
Anyhow, do you think that smoking weed may cause long-term psychological damage or is it just fairy-tales that pseudo-scientists invent to keep people away, or to prevent them starting some sort of drug-cycle which ends with crack or heroin?
The reason I...

UK : Cannabis production must be weeded out and put in safer hands
(30 May 2009)
Hi

31 May 2009
WHO WOULD have thought that Ecclefechan would be the centre, allegedly, of a major industry? A multi-million pharmaceutical business operating out of a small town best known for the fact that Thomas Carlyle is a Fechan boy. That's not a swear word, by the way, just an affectionate diminutive.
The slight problem is that the commerce in question is the alleged cultivation of cannabis. If I were mayor of Ecclefechan, I would be delighted at the initiative. T...

us: Make Cannabis Legal
(14 May 2009)
Make Cannabis Legal
Cannabis should never have been made illegal in the first place.
Ask why it was made illegal - by many state governments and eventually the federal government during the first four decades of the past century - and the answer cannot be found in expert medical testimony or any objective assessment of the costs and benefits of prohibiting cannabis.
In many western states, it was simply a matter of prejudice against Mexican-Americans and Mexican migrants, with whom cannabis was...

Happy Spring!!
And Spring arose on the garden fair,

rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
