1. Midnight Physics.... I'm thinking about brake rotors and sprocket hubs   (07 May 2009)
OK, so my normal open class kart has a huge brake rotor on it. It weighs in at 1lb 16 oz. I use this type of rotor because i'm generally travelling faster, braking harder, and wearing the big boy out. This all causes heat and brake fade. I have NACA ducts moving air to the rotor and caliper. Not much of a concern now with overheating the rotor and experiencing brake fade. I'm taking the Open off in favor of a blue clone. I'm thinking I don't need this heavy duty brake rotor, or heavy duty sprock...

2. What can you do with a physics major?   (26 May 2009)
So I'm attending college in the fall and I have no idea what I'm going to major in. As a result I've got varying classes. Physics, Psychology, Philosophy, English. I've been thinking about possibly majoring in physics, but I'm not entirely sure what it would get me as a career. What are my options with it?

3. I was thinking about oval racing after the Kansas race...   (14 May 2009)
I'm new to the board - have been an Indy Car fan since I was a kid. I have my own opinions about CART/IRL. This topic is not about any of that, so please don't go there. This is a thought about the Kansas race that popped into my head, especially after re-watching the 2000 and 2001 CART Michigan 500 races. I remember reading a few comments on here that the passing and lead changes were extremely lacking at Kansas. I agree. It reminded me of what oval racing was in the early to mid 1990's with CA...

4. Something other than Physics or God   (19 May 2009)
Premises or givens: God exists. The laws of physics are capable of being bent and broken. Reality is the observation of the surrounding world by an individual. All individuals observe their own reality. Question: Is it possible to attribute events to something that defies the laws of physics, without attributing them to God or some other higher power? Personal thoughts while mulling over the question: Given that we can all interpret and see our own realities, then there can be multiple realities...

5. LFS vs GT5 Physics reviews?   (07 Jun 2009)
Any avid GT5 prologue players here? I'm kinda thinking about buying a PS3 in anticiaption for the release of GT5 since i'm kinda getting bored of LFS but it always brings me back because I cannot find another simulator with proper physics like LFS. Just want to know if anyone has a comparasion of the 2. thank you.

6. [Opinions Needed] Physics Song   (19 May 2009)
EDIT: Well, It's finally done! Thanks for the help, Mazeppa! Notes: + There are quite a few typos in this song + We sort of messed up with the music too . . .for the first part of the song, we used the wrong .MIDI file, and so the music you hear is the original Part One I posted here, but with Mazeppa's edits spliced into it. The final version was so much better . . . + I apologize in advance for the loss of your sanity.

7. indecisiveness! physics or civil engineering?   (13 May 2009)
indecisiveness! physics or civil engineering?   Hellooo, I am quite confused as what to do, and it'll be great if you guys could possibly put down the ups and down of both courses? I applied for physics and have already chosen Imperial as my firm. However it was a last minute change from civil engineering because of teachers and deadlines. Sooo...now im thinking about maybe trying to change my course at the start of term? Be really useful in sorting out the mess in my head if I could...

8. Would someone start a Chemistry; Physics;Biology group?   (06 Jun 2009)
We must pray and help students, and I pray some one will start a Chemistry ; Physics; Biology group, so we can ask questions and share in here, Oh, see this thread: http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=343242 Quote: : Quote: : Oh, filiaecclesia, I pray God bless all students in everything in their life. May God guide them in a blessed way. For young students, they have school studys, homeworks, they will think about exam Marks, and their future, they want be a good student, they want to p...

9. Theoretical Physics = Visual Thinking.   (12 Jun 2009)
Interstellar Travel, Engage. So, I tried having a conversation with someone in my school's math-lab that is supposed to assist people with math. Granted, I was actually talking physics and theory ... but what is physics math. I'm pretty sure he knew that he knew more than I do based on his vocabulary, or what he knows, and what he knows is from books, or what other people know. He in-fact probably doesn't understand much of the world through his own eyes, but someone else's. A Quote: exploration...

10. Emerald Physics   (05 May 2009)
Anybody ever get your ears on a pair of these? Intriging design to say the least. If you did hear them...thoughts & opinions on how they sounded.
