Studying Abroad... where to go
(02 May 2009)
I am currently deciding on where I want to study abroad next spring and though I would ask my fellow enthusiasts trusting your knowledge and similar interests for some opinions as I am having trouble deciding.
What (I think) I am looking for:
1. a slightly more authentic experience (aka not a 1000 college kids running around drunk 24/7)
2. A decent sized city with great nightlife, clubs, bars, restaurants, and some culture
Top choices so far:
Tier 1: Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Milan
Tier 2: Glasgow,...

Ravi's College Adventure
(25 May 2009)
Ravi's College Adventure Well folks, after 3 schools and 8 years (1 of them twice, 6 years apart) I have finally received my Associates Degree in Electronic Media Communications in the field of Radio/Audio Production.
I know I know, I'm awesome. Lots of people graduate from a CC in 8 years.
anyway, I've been going through the hellish process of applying for transfer to schools all around the east coast. NYU (Tisch) was #1 but it didn't happen.
So far I've been accepted to American Univ (DC) and...

"For Sports Speak Up;
Here we go again & see (I think) another weak upcoming Lobo Basketball schedule. Seems like every year we have mostly teams in there that we hope & pray will have good years to boost our RPI. Why don't we just start great regional rivalries with some of our heavyweight neighbors like *Texas*, Oklahoma, OK ST, Tulsa, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona St. then we don't have to worry about this anymore. NMSU, *...

Psychophysiological Vertigo....
(09 Jun 2009)
So on May 5th I went to Dr. Zee in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins Univ. He is a Neurologist/ENT/Opthamologist. Perfect for what is going on with me, right? Well not so sure. His dx is psychophysiological vertigo. My brain is accustomed to the movement and the muscles are receiving the signals for the movements the brain is sending. He thinks its temporary, and said I should do Tai Chi and Qi Jong for balance, stress relief, and health issues. Fine. I have DVD I can do for that. He also said that I s...

Seeking advice
(29 Jun 2009)
Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read my post. I'm a 25-year old who graduated from Univ. of MD College Park in '06 with a dual B.S. in Zoology and Psychology. I was planning to become a behavioral researcher and worked in an animal behavior lab for a year after I graduated college, but I became interested in healthcare after my father died suddenly from a MRSA infection. I switched to working in a clinical NeuroPsychiatry lab at Johns Hopkins SOM and have been here for over a year, recr...

Post RAI nightmare -- help!
(22 May 2009)
Hi Sandy
This is very hard to respond to. I feel your post mocks what I experienced to the detail on my journal with Graves.
If you want to see a bit of my history of my Grave experience - I posted a journal under my profile on what I went through.
Now, as for your RAI - I am not good at knowing the ratio measurements of how much RAI is used to treat the percentage of Graves off the uptake scan. All I know is after RAI I suffered illness a very long time.
I remember - after I had RAI - that nig...
