1. Thinking about hitting Turtle Bay in Matagora   (28 May 2009)
Long drive so if someone could let me know if the fishing is decent, or let me know of another waypoint I can meet my buddy from Houston at let me know Looks like a good place for reds up towards that creek and maybe soaking some bait further south in the more open water.

2. Here's my .2 cents. Think about it, Management   (28 Apr 2009)
I have watched from a distance the ongoing battle to *regain" Truck.Net. I have kept quiet, with minor exception and I figure now is as good a time as any to hit the fan with it. Let me think back a few years to when I lurked here. There were many, many posters...yeah, sure..the Wild West..I saw the other thread. But the truth is, it was a forum where we could come and discuss trucking stuff, gripe about trips, loads, roads, trucks and stoopit stuff. With a lot of humor thrown in. Zigzag, as big...

3. What should you think about when you serve?   (07 Jun 2009)
Should you think about hitting it in the middle of the racquet, having the right form, or about hitting it right down the line, etc?

4. UPDATE: Webb hitting road to get more opinions   (25 Jun 2009)
Quote: : D-backs place Webb on 15-day DL PHOENIX -- Brandon Webb still is not concerned about his right shoulder, but the D-backs ace is on the 15-day disabled list. The team elected to put him on the DL, retroactive to April 7, after he still felt some soreness in his shoulder while playing catch Sunday morning. "I want to make sure we're 100 percent when I go back out there," Webb said. The right-hander began feeling some stiffness following his final start of the spring. He was roughed up a b...

5. Power Hitting CFers   (27 May 2009)
Thinking about Jones and his power numbers, I'm wondering if he might ultimately transform that position (albeit to a lesser degree) the way Ripken did for shortstops. Besides Hunter, Beltran, and Edmonds, who have been some of the other power hitting CFers of this generation?

6. Hitting Deer on Your Second Shot   (16 May 2009)
My favorite deer rifle is a Browning 78, 243. When carrying a single shot rifle, I squeeze the trigger, go gather up my deer. I am always totally aware of the fact that I only have one shot. I take my time, do it carefully. Mentioned this at my favorite man cave/gun store. One guy said he wouldn't go hunting with out second shot capability. That made me think about anytime I have ever had to take a second shot. I can't remember missing with the first shot, hitting the second. I can remember roll...

7. Need a lower profile vane - I'm hitting the riser   (27 May 2009)
Hi all, I’ve been using 2” Blazers, but I’ve changed my setup a bit and now they’re hitting the riser. I removed the vanes on some of the arrows and fletched them in a slight offset pattern, but I don’t know what it might be doing for the flight pattern… I’m waiting for a calm day to check on it…. In the meantime I was thinking about testing out some LOWER profile vanes; 3 or 4 inch….. I was looking at the Duravanes online, but it’s hard to tell if they’ll solve the issue without looking at them...

8. Thinking about making a sig. Help would be greatly appreciated!   (17 Jun 2009)
I've been a member here for about two years now, despite not posting as much as I used to until recently. I think it's about time I got a sig to represent myself. As you can see, my username -- General Stonewall Taylor -- is a clever little play off of Confederate General Thomas Jackson's nickname from the Civil War era. It represents my opinion of Sean Taylor and the way he commanded both our defense and the opposing offense on the field while he was still with us. I'd like to take it one step...

9. Power Discovered: Wrist back before hitting!!   (25 Jun 2009)
This is shocking to me that I've never noticed it before, but today, i was playing around when i decided to do what i always see the pros do -- wrist back on swing and move it forward right before impact. AMAZING! The head racquet swing speed was so much better. I tried it with some flat balls and they went blasting to the fence with using almost shoulder/arm power. I always thought power comes from the body/arm so i always tried to generate power that way with not much luck (always craved more...

10. Hitting Walls in Proofs   (05 Jun 2009)
What do you do when you've exhausted everything you can think to throw at a problem? Do you buckle down and force yourself to keep churning out ideas, scribbling on some paper? Do you go outside and do something completely different, and come back to it later, refreshed? Or perhaps you just sleep on it and the solution comes to you the next morning? I was just curious what most mathematicians do when dealing with this inevitable situation. For me, I'd say I'm inclined to bashing at it until I gr...
