Never used one of these forums before, except to look. Not sure if I am doing this right. Don't know how to insert a copy of the HiJackthis notepad since cut and paste or copy do not seem to work??? However have sent the log to TREND MICRO, so I do not know exactly what will be seen.

so a few days ago i went out for most of the evening, while leaving my computer on and connected to the internet. when i came home i found an error message saying something along the lines of ntndis.exe does not have authorized access, and all i could click was the "ok" button. i then logged in and noticed that my CPU activity was at least 50%, maybe more. something was using a lot of my CPU resources. also i have in my system tray temperatures for my computer components like my CPU cores, and b...

My sister recently came to me complaining that her system had recently (in the past two months or so) begun behaving oddly; she gave slow game performance (specifically World of Warcraft), stuttering streaming video (Hulu, etc), and occaisonal lockups requiring a hard restart. Searches being redirected

Hello,
Whenever I use Google I would say about 1/4 of the links I click for my searches are redirected to advertisement sites. I have run both MBAM and Superantispyware but they have found nothing. If you want my opinion I have some odd .ini files that just seem to appear in the "hidden files" tab in WinPatrol and I can't get rid of them.

Hello all. I was using the NTBackup utility to back up (yeah, backup all on
computer); BUT, when and if I need to restore, from a external backup drive
(that I do not keep plugged into the back of my desktop tower/chassis, but
only solely when I need to add something to the external drive or whatever,
you know) It's 100GB, My tower/chassis's internal drive is: 120GB, and my
thinking is that I can not solely rely on just one back/restore program; I
gotta have two, just in case one doesn't work or...

To get to the short, sweet, and to the point of it;
Firefox and IE are both just closing when I type in or get linked to a URL
Malware Bytes and Spybot instantly close when I try to run them.
I originally thought it was Google installer freaking out, since it would crash everytime the computer started up, but after I uninstalled it it's still at it.
AVG has pulled up infections of scvhost.exe (2068), (1152) and (1084) and Explorer.exe (1412)
Four DLL's named UACjxmbupxdrfkwlvt.dll are pulling up...
