1. Things to think about   (02 Jun 2009)
My first thread then O_O... Here it goes lol Now that we've brought Barry in (which is a fantastic buy imo), and taking into consideration the fact Hughes (and the majority of fans) would presumably have Ireland and De Jong in the first 11 for next season, you would think this is an obvious push for a 4-3-3 looking something along the lines of this: - - - - - - De Jong - - - - - - - - - - - Ireland - Barry - - - - - SWP - - - - - - - - - - Robinho - - - - - - - - ? - - - - - - - - - Now here's w...

2. Fantastic Flutists on sub-par instruments   (26 Jun 2009)
I was watching 'Top Chef Masters' on TV the other day. Four very accomplished chefs competed for money (to go to their favorite charity) and the chance to go on to the champion round, for more money, prestige, etc. I like the show. Anyway, the 'challenge' for the chefs was to cook an outstanding meal (one that you might get in an expensive restaraunt) in a college dormitory room, with one plug-in burner, a microwave oven, and a toaster oven. Of course, the chefs came up with fantastic, fancy mea...

3. Albums Revisited: Trip The Light Fantastic   (02 Jun 2009)
After listening to Love.Angel.Music.Baby. for the first time in ages & deciding it's possibly one of the tackiest albums I've ever heard, I thought it'd be a nice idea to pick an album that came out years ago, have a listen to it again, and discuss what we think of it now. I'm interested to see if your opinions have changed. Let's start with L.A.M.B. then shall we? Last edited by theberen on Wed Jun 10, 2009 10:35 pm, edited 4 times in total

4. Elton John - Captain Fantastic (John's Retro Picks)   (07 Jun 2009)
I am slowly going through and "feature" every album I have on vinyl (since I buy everything on wax these days and just download the mp3s) in chronological order and really examining every album start to finish listening at least once a day (be it in the car, at work, whatever) for three-four days in a row since I have a huge collection but really feel like everything I have deserves it's own care and attention, regardless if it's an album I know start to finish (such as many of the Bowie albums)...

5. 14 Fantastic Freeware Finds   (06 May 2009)
Get to your favorite folders in a snap. Stream TV stations from around the globe. Add new power to Internet Explorer. All this and more, and all of it for free. </img> </img> </img> </img> </img> </img> </img> </img> Want to share something that I came across. Opinions?

6. small market + tight economy = fantastic TV rates   (24 Jun 2009)
i just signed a contract with the local ABC affiliate (only station to have an on air signal as well as cable presence) to get 4 spots a day, 5 days a week, in local news and prime time for $300/month for a 2 month contract. plus a 2-3 minute news segment on my company in the local news. gotta find a hook so i'm thinking about "don't use chemicals - call ME" that's 20 spots a week @ less than $4.00 a spot. if i get two 1 hour jobs a month i'm ahead of the game. my money says i'll do better than...

7. The Fantastically Amusing Final Four: Who Will They Be?   (30 Apr 2009)
I’ve been thinking about it and I’ve got a feeling the final four will be, obviously, Satellite Dish Face Debra, Heather Mills Kate and Princess of the East(Enders) Yasmina with the last place being probably taken by Uncontrollable Bladder James. That if, Debra can control that massive chin, I mean, gob, of hers. Pitbull Phillip and Deluded Ben will be kept the longest possible for the sake of good TV but sadly won't make it. Howard DeadFish, Mona Beauty Queen of the Jungle and long lost Alan Ca...

8. What a fantastic site !!   (19 May 2009)
[size="5"]Hello from Germany ! I have been a "silent" reader of Mobileread for such a long time ! I haven` t decided on a reader yet but when I read about the question if the epub format should or should not support the dictionary lookup function I couldn`t resist from registering here in order to be able to participate in the poll ! To all of you.. this site has almost become a " daily newspaper" for me and I would like to thank the members here for providing such a wide range of honest descrip...

9. Obama is a fantastic Commander-in-Chief   (09 Apr 2009)
An American cargo ship, manned by Americans has been rescued from "evil-doers", and a Navy Destroyer was on the scene ASAP to provide assistance and fire-power. Can't wait to hear the praise and slobbering from Limpballs, Insanity, Dreck, Weiner and the rest of the wingnuts. Think about it. Former President Bush couldn't keep Americans safe from a rag-tag group of 19 religious wing-nut fanatics on our own soil . President Obama, on the other hand, was able to ensure the safety of 21 Americans on...

10. Is Slum Village's "Fantastic Vol.2" the most classic hip-hop album...   (20 Jun 2009)
with the most lackluster lyricism? Honestly, I was thinking about it. Dilla made this album what it was. I still bump this album almost ten years later and the verses from baatin, T3, even Jay Dee make it a classic IMO. I don't think we'll ever hear another record like this one again that had such a natural and laidback vibe again. This was Slum Village at their prime, and sadly, their only real album that had underground & mainstream appeal at the same time. I don't think songs like these could...
