Prices of British goods
(03 Jul 2009)
Hi,
I've been thinking about business ideas for spain for a while, so i can move out and make a living, personally whenever i'm visiting, typical english food goods cost a fortune, i haven't been to mainland spain in a while, so i'm unsure to how true this is now. But, i think i'd be able to make a proditable business importing british food goods. To make sure this is viable, i need a little confirmation of the prices of british foods, such as Marmite, Heinz and others brands, and maybe location...

Shadow Ridge - some advice for British familiy!
(05 May 2009)
Hi. We've exchanged one of our Phuket weeks for a week in a 2 bed unit at Shadow Ridge commencing June 27th. I know it will be hot - I've been warned, but I reckoned it won't be hotter than Thailand in February which hits mid 30s centigrade! We're travelling as a small family - just myself, my husband and our three year old son. I have a couple of questions, I hope this friendly community can answer for me:
1) Which would be the best location of villa for us to request. I suspect we're down the...

The problem with British Tennis -
(24 Jun 2009)
Bag Boy
The former Top 10 American pro Eddie Dibbs once cracked that if it were not for tennis, he'd be a "bag boy at the Food Fair", a reference to a popular supermarket chain of the time. That theme re-emerged again the other day after British player Daniel Evans lost in the first round to Nikolay Davydenko.
Q. What are you going to spend it (first-round prize money) on, anything?
A: "I don't know. Probably not a lot. I'll just keep it, rainy day. I might not be a tennis player soon, might be...

Hello from British Columbia
(08 Apr 2009)
Hi everyone, great to be here!
With all the events happening around the world lately, I really thought it was time to seriously start preparing for anything. There are so many different threats that could happen at anytime, natural disaster, global financial collapse, etc. and I don't even know what to think about this whole 2012 thing I've been hearing about lately.
Unfortunately, my dh thinks I'm nuts, he says if anything seriously bad happens, we're all going to die anyway. I've always though...

"Ministry of Defeat"
(07 Jun 2009)
Quote: : Product Description:-
This book presents a damning analysis of Britain's military involvement in the Iraq conflict. "Ministry of Defeat" is a devastating account of military and strategic incompetence.
When Tony Blair insisted that British Armed Forces form part of the invasion of Iraq, little attention was paid as to how this might work out in practice or what the consequences might be.
Here we have for the first time a detailed account of just what an abject failure Britain's military...
