Thinking About A Buy.

It is an original SS 396, however the Richard Simmons paint has got to go! The 396 has a rod knock, but still runs. The knock is not loud, so I think it can be rebuilt, atleast I hope. Give me your opinions.

What do you think about modern music?

Hi
I am a student who is doing a small questionnaire for my university project about the sound quality of modern music. If you listen to music then I am very much interested in your opinions.

How Loud is Too Loud?

I know my preference if I am in a club, is to be able to hear the music, the person singing, and to hear the people I am with.
I know the younger crowd seems to think that the louder the music the better, but can anyone give me some opinions on just how loud a karaoke show should be? .When I sing at some shows, I can barely hear myself over the music, makes it difficult to sing your best.

New LOUD gear whine - opinions?

I'm going to reference oil but I don't know yet if this has anything to do with the issue. I did an oil change about 900 miles ago and used Rotella 5w40 Synthetic. The light weight did concern me but most auto engines run 5w now and my Cummins actually gained 2.5 mpg using it.
About 500 miles ago I went on a 300 mile ride. During the last 50 miles of the ride I noticed that I wasn't hearing the normal gear whine; it sounded different. The new sound was with me for the last 100 miles until yester...

How loud?

Just wondering if I could get an opinion about how loud you think it might be.
I dropped it to .5ohms and it get alot louder.
I can stand outside the car about 4feet and feel hard hitting bass and it still. vibrates clothes at 8 feet .
I am going to the show on 8-9-09 and will compete but I want to know what you think about this. What should I expect? the box is 27hz 3.5 cubes Subs love the low bass cd's I play. It gets LOUD AND LOW to all tones on the cd's.

Full straight pipe make your ears bleed harley is what I'm looking for. Kind of thinking I want to do a study on loud pipes and saving lives saying and all that. Also...
1. In your opinion, where around a vehical would loud pipes save lives? Coming from the rear or the front?
2. Do you believe loud pipes save lives?
Also, anyone have a convertable? Might need to do multiple car scenarios as well.
Figuring I would do a vid with a really loud harley at various distances behind a vehical and in fro...

I got it today, and I think its a bit loud.
By itself its not that loud, but with my system as a whole its too loud.
I know there are plenty of options such as getting a resistor or fan controller or mod.
However, its a molex connection.
Also I only have 1 3 pin on my motherboard.
I was thinking about getting a molex->3pin converter and then connecting that to a 3pin resistor and then connecting that to a 3-pin->molex converter and finall...
