1. Think about water proofing your phones out on the trail.   (12 Apr 2009)
Usually I am over in the shooting and flying forums since that is what I do for a living. But, I was just involved in another search for a missing snow-machiner who went out on his own and got himself into the ultimate trouble. All the facts are not in yet, but nobody could raise him on his cell phone and he apparenly could not call out. It looks like he may have gone through some thin ice at an overflow and really dunked himself. A cell phone that has been under creek or pond water will not hel...

2. opinions, please: Segways and cell phones   (18 May 2009)
http://www.cjonline.com/news/local/2...er_strike_deal "McElroy has agreed to operate the Segway at a walking speed, to not use a cell phone while he is riding the Segway and to not use the device on an escalator or on steps, Haney said. He won’t be required to wear a helmet." In the settlement of this lawsuit against the Simon Properties Group, McElroy agrees not to use a cell phone while riding the Segway. Now that makes as much safety sense as not using one while driving a car. Your attention...

3. Opinions on Kajeet Phones   (29 May 2009)
I'm about to get one for DS8. He has type 1 diabetes and needs a phone for very very limited usage -- to check in with blood sugars and insulin doses. They have a $4.99/month plan for 10 minutes a month then 10c for each additional minute-- the prepaid additional minutes you can buy DO rollover. I've heard good things about them. I can get him a refurbished phone for $16.99. No contracts, no activation or termination fees. Any reviews?

4. how have cell phones changed things???   (07 May 2009)
dont know why i was thinking about this...but dang it seems like i cant live without my freakin phone hooked to my side ya'll remember life before cell phones??? do you think its made people lazy in this instance- you have an appointment or meeting with someone and you can so easily call and cancel when before there were certain things to keep your word that you just had to suck it up and go....cant imagine life without them now.

5. Cell phones; can we go without them?   (20 May 2009)
This thread isn't about what cell phone you like or what you think about other people using cell phones. It's about being dependent upon them. It began one day when I was preparing to travel from the city I live in to visit family in another town over 100 miles away. After paying for my bus ticket and arranging tags to my baggage, I heard the ticket agents talking about construction work on the highway to where I would be going. Taking this in, I reached for my cell phone that I usually kept cli...

7. a few questions (thinking about getting an iPhone)   (15 May 2009)
Okay. So I've been an at&t customer for 5 years. I've been on the FamilyTalk Nation 700 rate plan with family unlimited messaging for almost 2 years (only two phones) and I know I can get the family unlimited data plan for $10.00 since we already have the family unlimited messaging...   Is it possible for me to get an iPhone (only one of the phones) with this plan? If not, is there a way I can keep the other phone with the original plan and only pay the $30.00 for the data plan for just the iPho...

8. Does anyone ever think about that 15' MBP should use 1680 screen resolution...   (15 Jun 2009)
As you can seen from recently update on mobile phones(HTC Diamond 2/pro etc). The 3.2inch screen supports 800*480(WVGA)resolution. I am wondering when apple can upgrade the 15' MBP to 1680(1920 might not good for eyes) that make it much more prefect. Since I had go though the forum, seems nobody care about this, does everybody satisfied with currently resolution?

9. Cell Phones   (31 May 2009)
Call me paranoid – but I think cell phones are a subtle form of population control. Think about how anxious/depressed/angry we get whenever we can’t use our phone. There have been times that I’ve lost my phone, times that it had ran out of battery and I didn’t have my charger with me, times that my phone had broke, and times where I had no signal. All of those times, I nearly had an anxiety attack from not being able to communicate with the people I love. Think about it – couldn’t phone companie...

10. Any of you faggots using android phones?   (18 May 2009)
I got a rooted g1 with the jf1.5adp firmware and just flashed the spl. Thinking about doing apps to sd but the new spl takes up way less space so I don't really need the space anymore.
