2. Chess (legal) wars   (06 Jun 2009)
The US Chess Federation has an election coming up for seats on it's Executive Board. While reading up on some of the candidates positions, I found out there's a major legal battle going on right now. http://fastmockdraft.com/images/samsloan.jpg This all started when one or more people started impersonating Sam Sloan on various chess-related Internet message boards. At the time, he was a member of the Executive Board, but subsequently lost the following election. http://uschess.org/legalupdates/S...

For the last year (give or take) I have heard nothing from Susan Polgar, Paul troung, Chess Discussion, and the supporters of Susan but " The TRUTH will come out"! Yet every time some "Truth" comes out, Susan is instructing her Attorneys to file to , "Quash", "Suppress", or disallow it to the membership of the USCF. ....What is Susan afrai...

7. Board or Bored?   (05 Jun 2009)
Randy Bauer after a week of 'commentaries' advising me of my legal basis, ignoring my address to the board, could still write via e-mail to my public complaint that is spoke false about my financial relations with Susan Polgar, [I spare you his interim comments, yet since this is a public complaint, which them to be considered as evidence of what he, the board, does, now and then: ===== Claims like an "unrepentant liar" are the sorts of things I look forward to discussing in a court of law....

9. Should the USCF Appeal the Texas Ruling?   (03 May 2009)
I feel that the USCF should at least consider appealing the decisions by Judge Cummings last week in Texas. This in itself is a complex legal question. An appeal can only be taken from a "final order". I believe that the decisions denying motions to dismiss for failure to state a claim are final orders and can therefore be appealed. The real question to consider is the alternatives: What is the chance for success of an appeal? How much will it cost. How long will it take? If there is no appeal,...
