St. Francis Reports to God
GOD: St. Francis, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going on down there in the world? What happened to the dandelions, violets, thistle and stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect, no-maintenance garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil, withstand drought and multiply with abandon. The nectar from the long lasting blossoms attracts butterflies, honeybees and flocks of songbirds.. I expected to see a vast garden of colours by now. B...

The unassisted home waterbirth of Nikolai Francis *updated with pictures*...
(14 May 2009)
May 5th-I knew I would be meeting my baby that day around 6:30 a.m. That's when the contractions started coming regularly. It was still early labor, so I was able to get Gabriel and Joseph off to school, and finish up some things around the house. I put in a load of laundry, and swept the floor. Once the boys left for school, around 8:00, Stephen and I got in the shower and I started to have more intense contractions, but still not too bad. We had been planning on going grocery shopping that day...

The Murder Of Saint Francis
(18 May 2009)
After my wife's parents died within months of each other, she went to a local pound in Virginia Beach and took home a pound puppy. On my recommendation, she selected a Black Labrador retriever. I had fond memories of my grandparents' black lab, Teddy, in Maine when I was a wee lad.
This black lab in the pound was just a day away from death. He had been raised by a young couple who had let him get up on the furniture and pretty much do as he pleased. And then one day, they bought some new furnitu...

Rose Barbare by Guerlain (created by Francis Kurkdjian)
(03 Jun 2009)
I've read a few threads on this one but I haven't found any threads specifically dedicated to it so far (as I'm guessing Rose Barbare is a hard to find fragrance).
The perfumed court describes it as a: heady, incisive Ottoman rose (aldehydes) over a modern structure of honey-chypre notes. It is created using an extremely expensive Turkish rose absolute from the excellent Grasse-based scent materials producer Robertet and has been described by Chandler Burr as one of the most stunning roses on th...

King Francis the Great
(20 May 2009)
Currently, I am working on a TL in which King Francois I of France defeats Imperial forces in the 1521-1525 Italian War. My POD is simple:
Instead of Francois delaying his attack on Imperial forces at Valenciennes in October, 1521, and allowing Charles to retreat, the king instead attacks with full force and manages to score a crippling victory.
This sets off a chain reaction, whereby Charles is forced to send for reinforcements from his Italian campaign, buying the French time to pay the Swiss...

"Aeffects" David Gordon Healy...My John Francis Kennedy contributions

These comments were taken from just the threads showing on page 1 of
this NG this morning. Note all of the knowledge that Healy has when
discussing the JFK assassination.
He's an embarrassment to the Conspiracy Community, but then again most
of the CT's that post here run a tight second with being an idiot like
Healy is.
I think it's about time Healy's knowledge gets posted around the JFK
forums on the n...

Justice Stevens Renders an Opinion on Who Wrote Shakespeare's Plays
It Wasn't the Bard of Avon, He Says; 'Evidence Is Beyond a Reasonable Doubt'
By JESS BRAVIN
WSJ
In his 34 years on the Supreme Court, Justice John Paul Stevens has evolved from idiosyncratic dissenter to influential elder, able to assemble majorities on issues such as war powers and property rights. Now, the court's senior justice could be gaining ground on a case that dates back 400 years: the authorship of Shake...
