Is anyone else thinking about bringing their babies camping?
(19 May 2009)
Well...I have absolutely no experience...just an opinion. I am a first time FTM of a 5 month old boy who also doesn't like to be in his car seat for very long. So I had the same fears but I planned our last trip around his nap time and it worked out well because he pretty much slept the whole time. I love camping and I think about when we will take our first camping trip with our LO all the time. My opinion is that you should go on the camping trip. The more times you cancel fun trips like this...

Usually they keep this pretty updated.

2004..what do you think about high miles and new motor?
(23 Jun 2009)
Alright, well as some of you have seen, my truck is getting sold to my buddy when he gets out of boot camp July 9th. I have been looking for a high mileage dually six speed. Well I cam across this truck and gave the guy a call. He did the swap him self, seems very knowledgeable about the truck. He has had it since 2005 and bought it from a buddy who is the original owner. The truck its self has 300,000 miles and the front end was rebuilt at 175,000. I am guessing it would need new ball joints ag...

An Atheist Summer Camp for the Kiddos. (Provided by Dawkins)
(05 Jul 2009)
There'll be no tent for God at Camp Dawkins.
"WHEN schoolchildren break up for their summer holidays at the end of next month, India Jago, aged 12, and her brother Peter, 11, will be taking a vacation with a twist.
While their friends jet off to Spain or the Greek islands, the siblings will be hunting for imaginary unicorns in Somerset, while learning about moral philosophy. The Jagos, from Basingstoke, Hampshire, are among 24 children who will be taking part in Britain’s first summer camp for a...

Camping Foods
(02 Jun 2009)
Ok, so I just ate lunch and am still thinking about food...why? Cause I'm trying to figure out what I want to cook when I go camping in a few weeks.
So my question is for you...what foods do you like to have/cook when you're camping?
(btw, we'll have a grill and a campfire. First day, I plan on a nice foil wrapped meal of mixed veggies, meat of some sort, roasted potatoes, etc etc. lol)

Thinking about getting a hi-lux
(18 Jun 2009)
Hello all,
I am new to the forum and would like to ask for your opinion of the Hilux.
I am considering getting a Hilux, as my current car is showing signs of old age. So I am moving from a car to a truck, for the first time, ever! The one I am considering is the Toyota Hilux 2.5G Double Cab 4x4 A/T.
Most of my driving is on the road but with a 4x4 I will probably attempt to take it off road for a bit of camping/nature/outdoor type of activities.
Honestly, I am considering the Hilux because of th...

Stealth Camping
(31 May 2009)
Wheather you call it stealth camping, wild camping or even guerilla camping, it's basically camping out with little gear, little impact on the campsite, and no permission or payment of camping fees.
Have you done it? Would you do it, and if you're a country land owner, what do you think about someone ELSE stealth camping on your land?
I've been looking at the hammocks they're using now with a bugnet / rainfly over them and it looks way better than a tent. I was kind of disappointed to see them s...

What do you guys think about the FJ Cruiser?
(15 Jun 2009)
I'm looking for a non-compromise off road vehicle with room for the wife and dogs and enough gear for a several day camping trip, enough power to tow an ATV trailer. I'd probably go with the 4 wheel drive with manual and the off road package. Seems like a lot of SUV for the money ~$28k.
