Hey hows it going guys, I'm thinking about buying a MSI GX610 laptop and I would like to know others opinions on the specs, the company, the price etc etc. First of all things you should know about me. I am planning on buying a new laptop within the month, because the desktop I am using now is outdated. i think what I have planned is pretty solid and I'm pretty good with computers, but I would just like some secondary opinions.

Ok, so after months of going this way and that I've narrowed my laptop choice down to 4. 2 Dells and 2 Acers. Now I leave it up to you to tell me which you think is the best buy. Their prices are all the same and they will all do what I need them to do. I just need your opinion on which would be the best. So here are our choices:

I'm down to Toshiba or HP, and I'm in that $500 to $700 range. Any strong opinions? Here are the ones I'm looking at.

Laptop Recommendation

I've been looking into buying a laptop for college next year and I'm not sure what I should get. I need something for under $900 that has a gpu (nothing fancy, just enough to play cod4 at decent settings). I am looking at these two laptops right now and I'm wondering what you guys think about them and if you have any other suggestions for me post em.

I'm stumped, to whether I should go with a Gateway or a Lenovo, differing in CPU, GPU, and Price. Help!

Now, the problem isn't money, as they are both in my price range, but should only get an AMD turion x2, but with HD3200 onboard graphics, or a Core 2 Duo but with GMA 4500 MHD?
Also, the only is DDR2 while the lenovo is DDR3. 3gb vs. 4gb, Opinions?

Performance issues with 2008

Hi,
After managing to sort out my last problem I now have another one, when selecting anything or executing a command there is a deffinate delay with ACAD doing anything, its like it thinks about it first, quite annoying really, productivity is very slow as a result. Is there some settings/variables to turn off etc? I have updated my graphics drivers to latest version and turned system to performance mode. My system is:
AMD Turion X2 Dual Core 2GHz
4 GB RAM DDR2
ATI Radeon HD 3650 512MB Graphics...

Looking for a new laptop

Hi everyone! I've had an Acer Aspire 5100 for the past three years, running Win XP, 120 GB hd, 2 GB ram, 2 GHZ AMD Turion, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100. It's worked so well for me I've been leaning towards getting another Acer when I upgrade, but I'd like a few outside opinions before I decide.
Mostly I'll be using it for basic internet/email type stuff, but I'll also be doing some design work in Photoshop at higher resolution (6000x6000 px) - how good of a graphics card will I need?

Laptop overheating issue?

One for the gurus to think about. It is an Acer Aspire 3023WLMi Laptop, recently upgraded with a Turion 64 (ML-37) processor, than the original Sempron 3000+ processor.
Recently, I started running into trouble with the temprature of the thing on one temprature sensor, since I installed Windows XP x64 edition (the problem didn't manifest iself under Vista/7, but Launch manager gave me hell.).
