Trade Possibles
(08 May 2009)
I know the series is still early, but this is just what I'm thinking about today.
Tradeable assets: Josh Smith, Al Horford, Speedy Claxton (er maybe, he will be in last year of his deal)
Players who might be on the market and fit the bill: David West, Chris Kaman, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Al Jefferson
-Probably Jefferson and Bosh won't be available for what we can give up
-Bosh would be my number one choice, but I don't think they're going to take a package centered around Josh Smith
-I wou...

Trade-a-BULL: Tyrus Thomas?: Trade-a-BULL: Tyrus Thomas?
(04 Jun 2009)
kim234,
What do you think about this?
To Bulls: Chris Bosh, Jason Kapono and Julian Wright
To Raptors: David West, Luol Deng and a 1st Round Pick
To Hornets: Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas
* It seems to work out for each team and the TM ranks it a positive for the Bulls, an even deal for the Raptors and a positive for the Hornets.
It would give the Bulls that ELITE BIG-MAN they have been looking for, plus leave them room to go after DWADE with Luol Deng off the books.

Peter Vecsey disses Donnie Walsh
(28 Jun 2009)
http://www.nypost.com/seven/06...s_176567.htm?&page=0
IN 14 months as Knicks president, Donnie Walsh's claim to fame is erasing two bloated salaries belonging to Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford ($27.4M) from New York's 2010 payroll, therefore giving the team roughly $34M in "additional" cap space to charm a couple collector items whose names escape me to forsake their franchises.
KNICKS BLOG
The operative word is additional. In all this time, not a single media mope (me, too) ever mentioned the...

That ESPN article on Chauncey Billups is the best is a long time
(11 May 2009)
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=090511/billups
It's a long read, but if you don't you're missing out. My respect for him just increased even more.
ENVER -- One of Chauncey Billups' ex-teammates -- and there are about a hundred of them -- has his nose pressed against a TV set. The Denver Nuggets have just called time, in the middle of a tight playoff game, and the ex-teammate can't help but notice Chauncey rounding up all the players, all the misfits and flakes, and pok...

Will the East be more dominant in a few years?
(04 Jun 2009)
The East, with three of the four best records in the league and a more competitive conference near the bottom than the West, might already be considered better than the West. I feel that the West is better 1-9, and I consider them overall to be better than the East. But that's not what I want to get your opinion on.
What I want to know is if you think the East will be considered significantly better than the West in 2-3 years? In the West, several franchises are on the downhill swing -- San Anto...

Which Era Did you Enjoy the Most?
(15 Jun 2009)
I thought it would be fun and interesting to have a discussion and poll debating which era of the NBA was the greatest overall, as well as ranking them. Take into consideration the differences in the game itself from era to era...inflated numbers, the average size of the NBA players, 24-second clock vs. no 24-second clock, three-point line vs no three-point line, different defensive rules, which positions were represented the best in which eras, which era produced the best teams in your opinion,...

Raptors Post Mortum - 2008/09 in Review
(29 Apr 2009)
Raptors Post-Mortum
The 2008 – 2009 season started with high hopes for this Raptors team. Trading T.J. Ford for Jermaine O’Neal sending a shoot first PG to the Pacers and allowing Jose Calderon the reigns to this team gave us a sense of hope as the team would become the central issue and the focus of the offense, not one guy deeming his team mates worthy of touches.
The year started with a quick 3 win streak as the Raptors came out fast with wins against the Warriors, the 76ers and the Bucks. To...
