I love what he did these past 2 days. But teams build depth on their team through the draft by getting 7 players or so. The Jets haven't drafted 7 players under Tannenbaum. I realize he's been getting good players, and that's what's most important. But at this point, they need to start thinking about depth on the roster. Come next year, they need to start thinking a little bit more about quantity in my opinion.

Ok, I was thinking about next year's draft. This is what I came up with. What do you all think about it?
Round 1, Pick# 10 - Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama
Round 1, Pick# 25 - Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
We combine our 2 2nd rd picks to move up and get this great WR.
Round 3, Pick# 10 - Joe Pawelek, ILB, Baylor
Round 4, Pick# 10 - Chris Hall, C, Texas
Round 5, Pick# 10 - Ryan D'Imperio, LB, Rutgers
He can play both inside and outside versatile!

I'm not sure why Jerry Jones is stockpiling (with no picks on day #1) all those draft picks because most of the players will not make the team. I do however hope that he picks another QB to start grooming if Romo doesn't pan out or gets injured. They need to start thinking about their future at that position instead of the "we're all set" mentality. Does anyone think Jerry knows what he's doing? I could use the vote of confidence.

It has been suggested in many threads that the Leafs should take advantage of the cap situation, and take on contracts from teams that need cap space, or are struggling financially, in exchange for draft picks.
After thinking about this, and doing some looking around, here are my top 5 targets:
1. Nylander - Washington:
35 years old - cap hit 4.87M for one more year

Our Top Ten Picks - How many 200 game players

I was thinking about this last night, out of the top ten picks we have had recently, how many will get to the 200 game mark? Personally I think there is a change that none of them will, which is quite a shock. For us to have such a promising young list, it shows to me that
1 - We have done really well with our 2nd-4th round picks
2 - We may be short of a truely elite player in the future (ie Judd, Bartel)
3 - That a team DO NOT need to bottom out to grow a good young list, we could of easily don...
