Thinking about gars...

OK, so one of my lfs' has some Florida Gars that I've been watching for the last month or so. Every time I go in, I like them more and more.
My largest tank right now is a 125g (72x18x22). I don't want to get a gar if it can't live in this tank for at least a few years, as my expansion plans are slightly limited right now.
As of now, the only fish I plan on having in this tank are a pair of pbass (3.5" and 5.5" respectively), which I already have. The gar(s) that I'm looking at are about 7-8 inc...

Tampa is great, my sister lived in Spring Hill which is about 40 mins north of Tampa. It was a great town, full of families, quiet for the most part. And close enough to Tampa and Orlando to be near all the fun stuff! Oh and there is a nudist colony called Caliente, I've never been there but I always saw the signs when we visited my sister, I know it isn't relevant but I always thought it was funny.

Bowman's Beach, Sanibel Island Opinions? Florida

Hi,
Heading down to Cape Coral Tuesday and plan on spending
Thursday or Friday on Sanibel Island.
We would like to spend the day at Bowman's Beach and later dinner
at the Mucky Duck (or some place like it) for the sunset.
Would the parking lot at Bowman's be filled by say 10:00 AM? We also plan on bringing a change of clothes and are hoping to shower off the salt before we eat, I believe that's possible at Bowman's....correct?
Any other tips or suggestions would be most appreciated.

what the hell is wrong with law makers in this state all they think about is them self because if you take away any thing from the casinos it will mean it will be a lot of people out of work and right now that is something we don"t need but do they give a fuck. no all they want is money in there pocket and don't wnat anyone else to make any money.

Relocating to Florida.

My wife and I are thinking about moving from Washington State over to Florida. We are sick of the 10 months of cold and wet, not to mention the high tax rate. Ideally we would like to live somewhere in the central part of the state such as Orlando or so. I am looking at nice neighborhoods, suburbs, etc. Places with low cost of housing and low crime rates.

Cruising to Italy then From Italy to Florida???

Is there a trip where there is a way that this is done? Where you get on the ship at Ft. Lauderdale cruise the atlantic then see Rome Italy and Naples and all of eastern italy and then cruise again to the americas back?
I think that would be somthing I would like to do, is to leave here for 3 days at sea, See Rome, Naples, Sicily and Maybe Greece, and then cruise back, I wonder how long would that be, like a back to back. I bet that would be a wonderful trip

Serously thinking about moving, some questions - Columbus

Hello,
We are seriously thinking about moving to Columbus, OH from Miami, FL.
Main reason, cost of living and we are not much of a beach crowd anyways.
I have some questions
1) What is the tolerance towards latins? I am not the typical latin in many ways, but a look at me and you'll know I am not exactly from Russia. And my accent is still a little thick.
2) Do you know what is the job outlook for business analyst? Is monster.com the best place to look?
3) How is the availability to alternative...

WOW I am so confused about Florida now. I used to vacation in Daytona with my parents back in the 70's for 2 weeks every summer. Went to Clearwater with a friend when I was 20. Almost relocated to Tampa with ex husband but he didn't get the job. I have dreamed of living in Florida since I was little. Now I am 41, I have 5 kids, I am in Nursing school and am STILL planning my move. I figure with a nursing education I am safe finding a way to support my family but I keep hearing of a lot of people...
