Fact: Every mock draft posted on here got TORN apart for not having enough help for the lines in the first five rounds of the draft.
Fact: The Lions Draft had two linemen taken, a 4th rounder and a 7th rounder.
Fact: Almost everyone on here is in love with what the Lions did in the draft.
Question: Why?

I'm new to the board - have been an Indy Car fan since I was a kid.
I have my own opinions about CART/IRL. This topic is not about any of that, so please don't go there.
This is a thought about the Kansas race that popped into my head, especially after re-watching the 2000 and 2001 CART Michigan 500 races.
I remember reading a few comments on here that the passing and lead changes were extremely lacking at Kansas. I agree. It reminded me of what oval racing was in the early to mid 1990's with CA...

Opinions My 2009 League Draft - 1 Keeper

As in sig, we Keep 1 player per team(10 Teams) each year. I placed 7th last year, thus pick 3rd in 2009. Our round 1 is our keepers, this leaves a few RB Studs other teams cannot keep... I.E. Forte, SJax, LT, CJ3, Portis, Gore, etc.
My Pick Positions(Serpentine) 1.7(Keeper), 2.3, 3.7, 4.3,
Since I'll be keeping Adrian Peterson at 1.7, should I take another running back Stud at 2.3 or go with QB Stud or WR Stud.
FYI...I mock drafted several times already and at 3.7 seems to fall are QB Rivers, Ro...

Thinking about the Nationals and Strasburg

Here is a question that I have. What makes more sense . . . drafting Strasburg and then going slot the rest of the draft or choosing someone else and using that extra 12MM or so to go overslot for talent.
Option A:
Strasburg 12MM bonus
#10 . . . 2MM
r2 . . . 700k
r3 . . . 400k
r4 . . . 250k
r5 . . . 200k
rest . . . 800k
total 16.35MM
or Option B:
Save 8MM by drafting another top prospect. Apply that 8MM on above slot players in rounds 2-10. Some may be Zach Brittons and others Jake Arrieta.
