Helloooo, I'm travelling for the first time January next year.
My friend and I have chosen Australia (2 months), New Zealand (1 month) and Fiji (2 weeks) and so 3 and half months in total, we will be back at the start of May.
Anyway our budget is around £5,500.
And here's how we've planned it:

I am thinking about scaling back my trip to Japan to spend more time in Australia for 30-31 days and then just spending a few days in japan to see Mount Fuji and TYO. What parts of Australia would you recomden? and were would be good places to stay? I don't need a fancey place to stay just some were to sleep.
South Australia looks like it would have a great deal of photo ops has any one been to Westren Australia or Notheren Australia? Would Tasmania be a good 2-3 day trip?

We are interested in a cruise Australia/New Zealand in January, 2010. We are looking into Oceania or Princess. We love Oceania and have never gone on Princess. The price and itineary on Princess is better, but I am concerned with the size of ship. Has anyone been on both? Opinions please.

After ridiculous "anti-terrorist" laws and questionable surveillance systems in the UK, Internet surveillance and private cop companies in Sweden, Australia seems to want to go one step further in our global move towards fascism. It appears they have begun censoring political opinions opposing the government on the internet. Suppressing political opinions means the country is now a dictatorship.
