33 Tips for Jihad against Racism
Alhamdu lillah (Praise God) , all Masjids in the world are open to all people. Muslims pray shoulder to shoulder with no regard to any national, ethnic, class or color differences. Islamic egalitarianism still gains respect from the untouchables of India to Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali in America. However, this dominant reality is sometimes marred by individual behavior, which is contrary to the ideals of Islam.
Some Muslims fall for the age-old trick of Satan and...

Thinking about a new bike and have some questions
(28 Apr 2009)
I have been stuck for years. I was increasing mileage and got stuck at a metric century. I want to do Centuries, a couple every year at least.
My current bike is a Gunnar Sport. It's a great bike and pretty good for long rides.
My weight is 250 and the frame is not entirely happy about that.
I am already losing weight, and once I start racking up some miles, I'll lose more.
I see a couple choices. The cheap one is that I get a bike like the Surly LHT and use that as a commuter/lite tourer. The s...

The Best 8 NBA Teams of the Last 20 Years Not to Win it All
by Scott Howard
Editors Note: This topic was spurred by a recent conversation with my boss (yes thats right, the blog does not pay the bills
if youre curious I am a competitive mime artist) concerning closed windows of opportunity in the NBA.
A few qualifiers and ground rules before I kick-off:
* Obviously has to be within the last 20 years. So w...

Preparing for civil unrest
Preparing for civil unrest
By Claire Wolfe
The most remarkable thing about civil unrest is that there hasn't been more of it.
Politicians are making a hash of this country-and much of the rest of the civilized world. We know it. They know it. They know we know it. But we don't feel we can do anything much to stop them.
That right there is the pre-condition for civil unrest-when people are frustrated and politicians are nervous.
Worse, that was how things stood before l...

It's been a rough week. A few days ago, at UCLA's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, 6-year-old Jani toppled a food cart and was confined to her room. She slammed her head against the floor, opening a bloody cut that sent her into hysterics. Later, she kicked the hospital therapy dog.
Jani normally likes animals. But most of her animal...

Quote: : Boas Nena,
From my experiences at Galician weddings, you're on to a lose/lose situation so you might as well make the most of it.
You can opt for the traditional - when in Rome an all that!
or you can go in what you feel comfortable and glam in.
Either way, you'll probably, from your description of yourself, end up looking like Cindy Crawford on a good day, surrounded by the lovely, but very small, bride and her young family of Andy Garcias and Sofia Lorens AND their mothers and fathers...

MB12 shots
(21 Apr 2009)
Hi,
I have a question about Mb12 injections. We have been doing it since mid of February and saw good improvements, however we are still working on the angle of the injection. Sometimes the red spot lasts only for one day and the urine is kind of pink in about an hour. I just read that this is an indication that the shot is done at the greater angle. My DD is only 2,10 years old and she does not have enough fat on her buttocks I guess. I am thinking on switching to every day shots, do you think...

Ok here's the scenario: you get to pick every member of the house and senate with out picking the actual people. You can only pick them based on variables outside of actually identifying individuals (party, race, experiences...) with reasons... go!
Here's mine for senate (take the number as a percentage for the house). I want you all to know I am completely serious about every pick I made, some may seem comical at first but if you think about it I am crazy enough to have these opinions.
