European Elections for the EU in Europe for the European Parliament.
(16 May 2009)
Does anyone think that the current MP scandal will have an impact on the European Elections? I'm expecting a lower voter turnout that will help the fringe parties.
What are peoples opinions on the EU? I'm all for it. I couldn't help but hold my head in my hands after reading the pamphlets sent by the BNP and UKIP saying 'No to the EU' and 'No to unemployment'.

European. Are you for or against the European Union?
(17 Apr 2009)
So, a basic question. If you are European (not necessarily an EU citizen), are you against (Eurosceptist) or for (Pro-European) the European Union?
If you are not European, please give your opinions anyway!
Personally, I'm pro-EU and I consider the EU to be a good thing for all EU countries. It has it's flaws of course, but those can be fixed.
I was going to great a poll for this... but I have no idea on how to do it :/

European Version of Windows 7
(29 Jun 2009)
I have a question about this
If the European version Windows 7 wont include IE8, how in gods green earth is the user going to get another browser?
Apparently the European commission didn't think about this problem now did they?

The European Baccalaureate and Cambridge

The European Baccalaureate and Cambridge
Hi, this is my first ever thread and I'd like to ask a question about european baccalaureate students at Cambridge?
What kind of grades should I be aiming for in my bac?
I'm actually in 5th grade (Year eleven - actually the time for gcse's I think) - should I already begin to worry about my average?
If so what should I aim for?
I tried the website but it's slightly vague and I thought real opinions would be the best..
Thanks!
ps A little unimportant que...

US MkV GTI owners, did you put the European front plate holder on your car...
(27 Apr 2009)
So, I think I might get the front European sized plate and keep the rear US sized (who wants to pay $450+paint for the Europ bumper?) plate.
Then I started thinking about drilling MORE holes in the front bumper piece... Did any of you install the European sized front plate holder on your GTI? Was it a pain to get the holes drilled? Do you think I'm better off with the US-sized plate?
One thing that makes me want to go with the Euro-size in the front is because there aren't many US-spec cars here...

What Europeans think of each other
(02 Jul 2009)
I just came across this page, which explains many well-known stereotypes about European countries:
dailycandor.com/what-europeans-think-of-each-other/
----
This is a basic backgrounder for Americans, primarily, who might think Europeans do nothing all day but about Americans. Donft get me wrong\they do love bitching about Americans. But they also like bitching about each other, as well. Bordering countries, especially, have complex caricatures of each other, even when an outsider might think the...

Magna Mundi Platinum 2 Preview XI - The European Great Powers
(10 Jun 2009)
Did you ever think that the AI was somewhat dim in its ability to grasp bigger strategic concepts, like that of a balance of power?
We did. That's why, in MMP2, we introduce the
System of European Great Powers
Every 20-25 years, the seven strongest powers in Europe (as measured by army size) will rethink their relations with each other,
and with the minor powers in the region. They will consider their strategic interests across the map,
and will look at the other members of the Big Seven to see...
