Gibson LP Studio or an Epiphone Elitist LP?

I'm looking for a LP guitar for around $800, and I see both the Studios and the Epiphone Elistists in the $650-$800 range.
Any opinions on the best overall bang for the buck? I've never played an Elitist, but I've tried several Studios, and they ranged from dam nice to dam awful.

AMAZING - Peter Schiff disses LP at LP convention

We (da peeps in RPF chat) are watching Peter Schiff at the LP of CT Convention and he's basically telling everyone to leave the party and stop wasting time in minor parties. He's telling them to join the Republican Party. People in the crowd are arguing with him. XD
Also, the way he is speaking sounds like he has been thinking about the senate race a lot.

V or LP (also, which LP?)??

Hey guys, I have quite a bit of time before I'll be getting a new guitar (probably end of the year) but I can't stop thinking about what I want.
I want 24 frets
Pickups that are good for metal (preferably not a EMG 85 in the neck, cos I have one in my other guitar & isn't that great IMO)
Preferabley no tremelo of any kind, but if it's on a V I won't mind it
I also prefer the look of sharp V's, & sharp cut out's on LP's (but that isn't important)
I was thinking maybe an Agile Dauntless , ESP EC-4...

To trade LP or not to trade for LP historic reissue

I walked into my local music store and hanging on the wall is a used 2007 Gibson Les Paul 1958 historic re-issue. (All original tags, case, certificates ect) Some dude out of work had to sell it because he needed the cash. The shop owner whom I know really well hands me the guitar and asks me to play it. I have to say that these reissues got what it takes. It nails the EC woman tone, has great tonal characteristics and wonderful sustain.

Should I get an LP deluxe...or just put some Phat Cats in my Std?

I want more p90 guitars...I have one but want to get them in my Les Paul too.
I have a LP standard which is a great guitar so I was thinking about putting either Phat Cats or those new Duncan p90/rail/humbucker pickups in it (they look very interesting without being too ugly).
Or I was going to see if I could find a LP Deluxe or some guitar that just had authentic p90s in it.
What would you do?

1958 LP #2

I just got a call from a friend that has a a friend who claims to have a 1958 LP burst for sale, but it is stamped #2.
i am waiting for a call from the guy to go see and play it
if i do get the call and i do go play it....i wonder
because it is stamped #2, how much does that decrease the value? i know a 1958 LP in good condition is worth like $2-300,000+....i know there are a lot of possabilities, (cracks, breaks, repairs, etc)
What are the opinions of the pros here?

Working on an LP

Well Im bored out my mind, and I started a threat about my comeback, so here is the front end of it.
I'm just doing an LP now. First bit of art in ages. Like it so far.
I'll Edit this thread in a bit when i've hit a good stage/finished.
Update 1: Here's what I've got so far:
I'm not sure about the C4Ds personally but what do you think? Don't think about lighting,depth etc yet, this is just base work.
