Every ADHD Med that GFG2 we have had to stop because of side effects. The latest one is Concerta. They all seem to last a few months or so and then he starts with side effects, He has been on Vyvanse (this one was the worst gfg got really emotional on this one), Adderall (caused headaches), Ritalin (we both hated him on this med, crashed after 4 hours every time) and now Concerta (no appetite, I think it may have something to do with his sleeping getting worse and I am noticing a link between th...

Something to think about...
(25 Apr 2009)
Now, not tomorrow or next week, we shall discuss the forbidden topic on message boards, religion. This issue is quite touchy for many people, so Id like to ask anyone in the topic to be open to criticism and other ideas different from your own.
Is religion necessary? A lot of people choose to follow one religion or another, and as we all know the differences of religion can lead to conflict. Story after story exists of one man harming another because he fears what he does not know. All wars can...

Quote: : “He was the best man for the job”, said Ecclestone. “He had been through an expansion draft…he knows the city. I asked him how he’d make up the team, if he was hired, and Cliff said to me, ‘one thing hasn’t changed over the years…the physicality. I get the job this will be among the top-three toughest in the league. That will be it’s identity’”.
“Any time you think about the Atlanta Flames”, Tim went on, “You think about toughness. W...

If You Became a Linux PC/Notebook Vendor, How Would You Do It?
(21 May 2009)
I've been thinking about this semi-seriously. Perhaps it's a dream goal to file away for some day, but I think it'd be a fun idea to toss around.
If you amassed a large sum of money and wanted to start your own company to be a GNU/Linux PC hardware vendor, how would you go about doing it?
I personally would love to start a company called "Liberated Machines", or LM for short. Somehow, we'd start off buying existing parts and machines from manufacturers. We'd look for:
-Coreboot-compatible mother...

How I became disgusted by capitalism
(04 May 2009)
As I already stated in a previous post, it's only in the past months that I realized my ideas had much more in common with Communism than with Capitalism.
For some reason, I began thinking about the current wars against the middle-east, terrorism, environement issues, etc.
In modern Capitalism the private companies just have too much power and freedom. In the US for example, the big oil and weapon coorporations have so much power that they can totally influence the American government. What do y...

"When Stupid Became The Norm"
I read in a paper today where the guilty was set free

When s...

Former Scotland goalkeeper Jim Leighton reveals that Sir Alex Ferguson was close to becoming Arsenal manager after the 1986 World Cup, but turned the job down and joined Manchester United weeks later. I'm so glad he never did though, But wouldn't it be wierd. I wonder how things would have turned out. As he would have inherite...

How woman became first to receive face transplant
(11 May 2009)
(CNN) -- Doctors chose a woman who survived a shotgun wound to her face as the first recipient of a face transplant after treating her for nearly four years.
Connie Culp knew of the Cleveland Clinic's interest in face transplants and approached the medical staff, doctors said at a news conference Tuesday.
Dr. Maria Siemionow, the Cleveland, Ohio, hospital's director of plastic surgery research and head of microsurgery training, had more than 20 years of experience in complex transplants. By 2004...

Thinking about a CF tandem
(28 May 2009)
I know that nobody can make this decision for me, but I would like to get some feedback.
For some time I have been intrigued with the idea of getting a carbon fiber tandem.
Right now my choice would be Calfee because they have the most experience with CF tandems and the price is reasonable compared to other manufacturers.
My wife and I have been riding tandems for 25 years. Our first tandem was custom built by Andy Gilmour out of Columbus steel tubing. After a number of years it became appearant...
