I've got a web app I'm building in ASP.NET that has the following security requirements:
Must be able to integrate with a master authentication scheme that passes back a unique key to the application to indicate a user has logged in via a third-party site. Must be able to use existing user/roles tables. May use forms authentication and allow users to log in via a separate login page if they aren't members of the third-party site. I've tried customizing the SQL Role and Membership Providers, but...

I read it, but do not have anything substantial to say. I think this is because I have not reached any conclusions. I have not reached any opionion, becaues I don't feel that I know enough about the topic.

Thinking about bashing nFusion. Read this first.

nFusion made a business decision. I don`t like it at all, but it was their decision and we knew it was coming when the security chip was first introduced. Bad timing is all they are really guilty of.
The nFusion bashing has to stop. I too am a little guilty of this as of late. I apologies for that. But lets get over this and carry on. No more bashing will be tolerated.

Rural/Metro Corporation Security - Thoughts/Opinions?

Anyone ever work for Rural/Metro Corporation ( http://ruralmetro.com/index.asp ) as a Security Officer or know anything about them?
I remember when I was working at the mall, 2 of their officers (a Sgt and an officer) came to apply to us.

External POST/GET to J! site? Security Risk?

Hi there, I'm thinking of building a custom component that will do a POST or GET to a separate J! site. I plan to implement a hash/security code check to validate the request, but is there anything else I need to think about?
Also, I've not been successful in doing my typical call to the external program. It gives an Apache/PHP level Authorization error.

As you post your complaints try to add a solution fix. Keep it simple and to the point if you can..
My complaint is for the fact that Capitalism is being corrupted because of the lack of respect by greedy power hungry individuals.. Free trade has failed. Border security has failed. the Ameican dream is for the few..
Solution, tariffs on free trade! reduce " sales taxation " and regulate greed ! Those three concepts can work wonders. Those three concepts are long over due.

noobish questions about Debian's security

I'm using Linux from few years (from 2-3 years as my primary or the only operating system), for most of time I used Debian or Debian-based distribution (Ubuntu). I use it on my desktop, I do not administrate any server etc.
