No-Huddle Power Run, Option, ect.?
(28 Apr 2009)
Has anyone tried this out of any I-Forms? No-Huddle is popular for the spread but I havent seen many hurry up power run offenses. I want to try and create this and I know the point of Power Run is to slow the game down but why couldnt it also be used to speed the game up? Lets say I come out and no-huddle a couple of Iso's what would be your response on defense? Would anyone think it would work? Of course you'd have to get close to the marker by 3rd down but hey its more of an challenge.
As a ma...

Cityrail: Town Hall platform 2 - don't huddle together
(26 May 2009)
From Cityrail Website:
Tuesday 12 May 2009
We'll be testing new methods to improve the flow of customers on our platforms at Town Hall Station platform 2 from 18 to 29 May 2009.
Improving the flow of customers on our platforms means everyone can get on and off the trains more easily, ensuring customer safety and allowing trains to run on-time.
Platform 2 at Town Hall is one of the busiest platforms on the CityRail network and it can get congested in the peak periods. That's why it's an ideal loc...

Thoughts on the revitalization of the no-huddle in Buffalo
by Brian Galliford on Jun 10, 2009
The Buffalo Bills held the first of three mandatory mini-camp practices on Tuesday, and the big story - no matter what the ESPN's of the world want to tell you about Terrell Owens - is that the Bills' offense spent the entire practice running the no-huddle.
No, the return of the no-huddle in Buffalo isn't exactly news. Tim Graham reported that the no...

Most embarrassing Redskin tactic this decade?
(13 Apr 2009)
Thinking about the lack of success this decade, from Norval through SOS to Zorn not getting into the playoffs, I thought about some of the more embarrassing tactics the team used.
For example, Marty's offense the first 5 weeks of 2001.
Gibbs' refusal to have Brunell throw more then 10 yards down field
Zorn and Spurrier forgetting to protect the QB.
For me its pretty obvious.
Go back to the 2002 season, when the o-line was more of a mess then it is today. The Redskins brought back in out of shape...

Sanchez crisp in afternoon session
(02 May 2009)
May 2, 2009
Some quickie thoughts on the afternoon practice:
QB Mark Sanchez followed up a so-so morning session with a crisp performance. In the 7-on-7 drill, he completed 12 of 15. He threw one bad pass and got away with what should've been his second interception - a 30-yard duck that was dropped by CB Manny Collins, a non-roster play. In the 11-on-11, Sanchez went 2-for-4.
WR Marcus Henry, rebounding from a poor morning practice, made a couple of nice grabs ... TE Jack Simmons, a non-roster...

Real simple Medic tweaks
(17 Jun 2009)
I was playing a medic again today, and I noticed 2 things that I thought would be better:
1. Make the medic regen cap out at 4, not 3, and make it 6 if the medic is immobile. I hate having to huddle away in a corner like a Spy until I finish regenerating HP into the 130-140 zone.
2. Ubercharges should last 20 seconds if the medic is not Ubering anyone. Think about it: It lasts 10 seconds when ubering two people (Medic+Target), and it lasts around 5-6 if ubering another (Medic+ 2 targets he quick...

Bills have unlimited potential this yr. but will coaching utilize it?
(14 Jun 2009)
Well, if I may conjecture. I must say I like what I am seeing so far this offseason. IF the Bills can dictate to other teams and keep them second guessing on offense with the no huddle and Fewell on defense with schemes to involve Maybin attacking from different angles and packages we could be turning some heads and surprising a lot of teams this year. Think about the potential we could have in guys like Maybin, McKelvin, Ellis, Byrd, Bowen, Nic Harris, Poz, Stroud and Schobel being healthy agai...

Article - Phil at Work

Too long to post the whole thing, but I think you'll enjoy reading it -
Quote: : Phil Jackson is not thinking about 10 rings.
He's thinking about two. The two that got away, the first to Detroit in 2004 and the second to Boston in 2008. He's thinking about how no one took the Pistons seriously and how dangerous that made them. He's thinking about how he couldn't get his players to truly understand, prepare for and match the intensity of the Celtics' defense. He's thinking about losing, abou...
