1. Opinions of Death Toll/Dead Air vs.   (09 May 2009)
I actually only got around to playing the new maps today, and I have mixed opinions about them. I only got to play the last few levels of Death Toll, but the finale is stupidly unbalanced in favor of the survivors. That one corner upstairs opposite the stairs, next to the table, is completely impossible to get to as the infected. Dead Air, however, is pretty much entirely fun. I had extensive fun both kicking ass and getting caught out by the other team, which is how you know something works out...

2. TTC taking a toll -   (21 Jun 2009)
Hi Hopeful Don't let this put anymore stress on you then it already has. I understand you feel defeated. I wish I could say something to take your pain away. I know you do not want to hear this, but you have to take one day at a time. It sounds like you are uptoday on fertility. You have your age on your side. I take it you have seen your doctor to rule out anything that is causing you to not get pregnant. It is just going to take time. Some people can get pregnant at the blink of an eye. Others...

3. For whom the bell tolls   (19 Jun 2009)
The PS3 is turning out to be the GameCube of this generation. Unless Sony creates a strong support system of first and second party developers the console is as good as dead. Activision: “We Might Have To Stop Supporting Sony” From the linked article: Quote: Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has warned that the publisher “might have to stop supporting Sony” platforms. “I'm getting concerned about Sony; the PlayStation 3 is losing a bit of momentum and they don't make it easy for me to support the plat...

4. Reapers Toll Build   (02 Jun 2009)
So one of my first posts after recently coming back involved me saying that I had an eth Tomb Reaver that I had found before and stuck on a merc. It was later added by me, that a zod had been put in by a friend who borrowed it for a while. Two updates and now a major change of question, because of my noobness. - First, I understand why people, especially on the SPF doubted the likeliness of the zod my friend "found" and because of that I unsocketed it soon after.(I'll post a flavie report when I...

5. Eckhart Tolle, "A New Earth"   (07 May 2009)
Dear Shirley, Brit, and everyone many of you know I rarely comment on books, even though I love reading all the time. I have resisted most Oprah's book club choice, just because of mere propaganda, but one book kept follow me about. The synchronicity's have been overwhelming in regards to this particular book, so I went to Amazon read the reviews, and bought it. He has taken and explained things in Layman's terms, so people trying to understand spiritual awakening can start to see the light. He...

7. Texting May Be Taking a Toll   (27 May 2009)
Really? That much? http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/26/he...&partner=MYWAY They do it late at night when their parents are asleep. They do it in restaurants and while crossing busy streets. They do it in the classroom with their hands behind their back. They do it so much their thumbs hurt. Spurred by the unlimited texting plans offered by carriers like AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless, American teenagers sent and received an average of 2,272 text messages per month in the fourth quarter of 2008...

8. Deadly Toll of Abortion NY Times Article   (03 Jun 2009)
My cousin shared the following NT Times article with me: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/02/health/02abort.html She, along with many of the commentators on this piece, believe we "religious zealouts" who want Roe v. Wade overturned, don't think about what happens to women who then seek to have "amateur abortions." How does one respond? I am so saddened by this article. I am also angered that it heralds legalized abortion to be the only way to save these women. The article shows no care or concern...

9. anyone ever read Eckhart Tolle A new Earth?   (09 Jun 2009)
I'm only 1/2 way through but this book is so amazing.. it makes so much sense & really pinpoints how the human EGO hinders us from being truly self expressed/free. http://www.amazon.com/New-Earth-Awak...4578267&sr=8-1 A few lines I love so far: "All you need to know and observe in yourself is this..whenever you feel superior or inferior to anyone, that's the ego in you." "An ego nor an egg are any good until we break it" ( i through that in for good measure) "there is nothing that strengthens th...

10. Violence escalating in Tehran. - Rants & Opinions - General Discussion   (19 Jun 2009)
Thanks to the great control over the media exercized by the Iranian authority, details as to the ongoing protests have been sketchy, though pictures and video footage has leaked to western reporters and websites alike, giving the world a glimpse as to what was taking place in Tehran, the capital of Iran, in response to the last election. As most of you know by now, there is great criticism of the electoral process, and as such, the results of the latest election which, officially, have allowed A...
