will be doing a fair bit soon an wondered if anybody else had?
lots of thoughts on the subject and differences of opinions with reagrds to 1st or 2nd curtain sync on flash, shutter speeds and ISO
any thoughts
i dont trust the idea of shooting at 1 sec and I think its a constant battle to mix the flash and ambient light to capture the atmosphere too.
Bet some of the wedding togs might have ideas too esepcially from doing 1st dances?
your thoughts guys?

Need help with flash setup/positioning

Hi guys.
I just recently got hired to shot a local motorcycle club and need a couple of pointers.
I'm no professional (and the guys who hired me know this) but I'd still like to make the most out of the shoot and present the bikers with some neat images.
Since I'm no professional I'll have to make do with what equipment I've got and I will be using my Canon 50 D with a Sigma 17/70 Lens and My two Canon 430Ex's (who will be fired through wireless controllers).

New truck right before California

So just 18 more days to go before our grand trip! I am SUPER excited! I had been thinking about getting an SUV again for a while because of the winter roads we have here and also because I feel safer(and I won't lie, the gadgets that come with all the new 09 Ford Escapes are pretty cool compared to my current car).
Anyways they are installing seat warmers and ambient lights in it, so I can't get my hands on it until Tuesday next week
Oh well, I guess I will have to behave until then. Super happy...

Recommendation for AE700U/AE3000U

Currently have a 17x13x9 room that has no ambient light, the walls and ceiling are painted a flat dark brown pudding color and the room will be used for BD and the occasional video game.
I have a 700U currently with <only> 850 hours on the lamp, but I am itching to upgrade to a 3000U since I am buying completly new everything else. I figure that I need a screen more than a new projector at this point, and wanted to ask a few questions/gather opinions.

Hello,
Well I just bought a 2009 Black Mustang Bullitt. They took 2K off sticker and I took ford up on there 0% interest offer.
It had 120 miles on it when I picked it up.
It came with a shaker500 and free sat radio for awhile. No other big options that are not in the Bullitt package.
So far I'm in love with the car, I love the stealth look and NO WING!!!
I do find the "ambient lighting" a little to ricey for my taste but thankfully I can shut it off. This is my first Ford that I will own in 13y...

Photoshoot location reccomendation for cars

Hi all,
I'm new to shooting cars and at the same time I was considering of shooting my vehicle, so wanted to ask from the fellow forum-ers for opinions on some good site-recommendations within Singapore.
I have not really finalized what I wanted but my initial idea was to have a day and evening/night shot at probably 2 differing locations. What came to mind was, I probably have to do the shoot on a weekend - thus a day location would probably be quite the 'nature' (very little traffic) type - wh...

Help! Need advice. All thoughts welcome.

Let me give a little background first.
1) My first projector was a BenQ PE770 DLP 720p. Loved it. PQ was fantastic. Had a great "pop" factor. Eventually wanted to play 1080p material.
2) Purchased the Mistsubishi HC5000. Noticed right away the weaker handling of black levels, the annoying dynamic iris changes, and something difficult to describe about the "pop" provided vs my old DLP projector. I bought my black mica 2010 sedan about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it - everything from the swiveling xenons to the bose stereo to the perfectly placed mini navi system.
