Thinking about running dual quads
(26 Jun 2009)
I just picked up a 283 for my 57. I also happen to have a offenhauser dual quad intake.
Has anyone run dual quads before? I'd be doing it just for the novelty/look of it.
Suggestions? Do I need 500 cfm carbs or can I go as large as 600?
What was original?
Just thinking out loud at this point.
Thanks

1.8 GHz Quad-Core or 2.6GHz Dual-Core?
(10 Jun 2009)
For a game I'm thinking about purchasing it needs this
2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
Would a 1.8 quad be equivalent? I hear that quad is great for gaming
But, a 2.6 dual would work just fine right?
I'm sorta leaning to the computer that has the 2.6 because its graphics card is listed under the requirments and its 100 dollars cheaper even though it has 1 gb ram and 140 gb harddrive less, but its still way better than the one i have now
Thanks

can you look at my quad # opinions?
(01 May 2009)
Those numbers look great! The level 2 u/s will show much more and after I had my u/s the RE said my numbers were off the charts. Congrats!! They will also tell you the sex at that u/s if you are finding out, that was exciting for me.

Question for Phil about quad training
(16 Apr 2009)
Phil
Someone posted up a recent photo of your quads. They still look incredible.
What does your quad training look like now and how is it different to when you were competing?
Do you still lift heavy? If so have you ever had any knee problems?
The reason I ask is that I had an xray of my left kneecap and the surgeon explained that although the knee cap had begun to change shape slightly, he was amazed that there was no significant wear. (I put this down to the fact that I have never done more th...

Thinking about getting Core2Quad...
(19 Jun 2009)
I'm moving up from an outdated, but functional e4300 oc'ed from 1.8ghz to 2.7ghz. I'm looking for a Core2Quad for about $210 which would be good for gaming. I've updated a bunch of parts on my rig, went up to 2x2GB G.Skill RAM from 2x1GB G.Skill RAM. Upped from a Biostart T-Force P965 to an ASUS P5Q-Pro motherboard. Got an MSI 260 GTX from an EVGA 8800 GT and moved up to a smooth 19" widescreen monitor from a clunky 22" CRT. What would you guys recommend for a quad core for my rig? It's strictly...
