I keep seeing the same asinine complaints over and over again. Let's stop and think about them for a minute:

Hey hows it going guys, I'm thinking about buying a MSI GX610 laptop and I would like to know others opinions on the specs, the company, the price etc etc. First of all things you should know about me. What do you think about Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems?

In my opinion, Larry Ellison got his hands on an absolute gem of a company with Oracle's announced plans to acquire Sun Microsystems. Look at what they get with the deal: Java, Solaris, Open Solaris, ZFS file system, StarOffice, OpenOffice, MySQL, VirtualBox, Sun's hardware division and more.
Overall, I believe Oracle will do very well with this acquisition. Maybe not immediately, but definitely in the long-run. My only concern, or major concern, is with MySQL.
What are your thoughts?

Opinions on management company representation?

What is the concensus here about signing with a management company in Hollywood or Los Angeles vs being independent.
I have recently had 3 separate actors give glowing reviews and would like to act in the movie, but so far none have wanted to option through their own production company. From their reviews, I have now received contact with several management companies that would like to potentially represent.

Thinking of starting my own video company?

The key word is "thinking".
I am not quitting my day job. It would be more of a hobby at least at the beginning. Via a good friend I will have some opportunities to do some short films for her international company.
What are some of the basics I should be thinking about if I am going to start my own video company?
This is kinda of a brain storming post that hopefully some people could provide me with some good advice and possibly share their own experiences.
