1. Early 2009 Predictions   (26 May 2009)
Game #1: Missouri State Bears: The 2009 season starts with a lay up game against Missouri State. The term lay up should be used lightly from Coach Petrino as this time last season we all thought Western Illinois would be a simple lay up game. It's interesting to note that the Bears are led by Cody Kirby, a native from Rogers. Kirby has had a very solid career as the Bear's QB so far, being effective both as a passer and as a scrambler. However, his athleticism won't be enough as the Hogs will ha...

2. 2009 NFL Preview and Predictions Part 1: The NFC   (09 Jun 2009)
As I was sitting back earlier yesterday evening and filtering out whatever it was that my girlfriend was yelling at me for, I had a random change of heart about how I was going to approach my 2009 NFL Predictions/Preview article. As I was looking at and also picking winners from Super John's simply supeeeerb NFL season schedule ( Click here to get it .. Seriously, it's A+ stuff!) , I realized that while we can have a pretty firm and grounded grasp on say – the first half of the season – there ar...

3. BR: Predicting The 2009 NFL Dark Horses and Trojan Horses   (25 Jun 2009)
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...rses/show_full Predicting The 2009 NFL Dark Horses and Trojan Horses by Savior Edwards (Contributor) June 23, 2009 Preview/Prediction With the exception of recent dynasties like the Patriots and Steelers, the NFL is still rife with parity. And as a result, every year there are teams that come out of nowhere and shock the NFL world. After finishing last place the previous season in their respective divisions, last year we saw several teams like the Eagles, D...

4. Bold Predictions for '09   (22 Jun 2009)
http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/story?id=...s&confirm=true who opened last season as a third-string quarterback, finished with more fantasy points than Brett Favre and Ben Roethlisberger. Pierre Thomas, also a reserve player to open 2008, outscored one-time superstars Larry Johnson and Joseph Addai. Antonio Bryant didn't play a single snap at the pro level in 2007, but he still finished as a better option than Terrell Owens and Randy Moss. Yes, the NFL can be unpredictable to say the very least. As m...

5. Tuned In: TV Experts Predict Bleak Future for Network TV   (19 Apr 2009)
Link SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The future of prime-time network television is murky at best. Where once networks dictated what we watch and when we watch it, America has turned into a nation of individual programmers who pick and choose their shows and viewing times at their leisure, thanks to DVRs and online streaming sites such as Hulu.com. "You can put the schedule board away," said veteran network programmer Fred Silverman at a TV symposium held here last week. "There's nothing more to schedule." Si...

6. 09' Bear hunt prediction   (11 Jun 2009)
I've been thinking about the up coming bear hunt and I have a prediction to make. The rules state that it will be a two day season coinciding with the december whitetail muzzleloader and the quota is either 10 bears, or 5 females (which ever limit is reached first). I predict that the quota will be broken and possibly in a significant way. In my opinion if the quota is 10, and 5-7 extra bears are killed, thats significant. Quite frankly, I am almost positive there will be a good bit of baiting g...

7. Season Preview: Eastern Conference (2011-12)   (27 Jun 2009)
ATLANTIC DIVISION Last Season: 57-25 Key Additions: Travis Holmes, DeMarcus Nelson Key Losses: JaVale McGee, DeShawn Stevenson Preview: This will be the first season that the Wizards will have Arenas off of the ball. We've all seen how dominant he could be while dominating the ball, but can he still be the scariest scorer in the game while Nelson runs the show? There is no doubt about it that the Wizards will still be a forced to be reckoned with simply because of Arenas' presence on their roste...

8. Some unbiased opinions   (30 May 2009)
Alright, this might seem weird to some of you because I don't really post here. I'm a Wings fan, with a soft spot for the Blues. I lurk the Detroit and STL forums here on HF Boards, but I mostly post on another board. I'm getting a lot of flack for a SCF preview I threw together, and I figure the best place for an unbiased opinion would be here. Lots of smart posters, and no one here really likes the Wings... so if you don't mind, tell me what you think. Offense: The Wings boast a deep, well bal...

10. Beast M0de's 2009 Season Prediction (AFC East up)   (31 May 2009)
I usually do not like talking about predictions or starting prediction threads but I am pretty bored right now and figure why not. I am going to breakdown each team which will include MY OPINION on their record, strengths/weaknesses, question mark of season, Offensive/defensive MVP's and their potential breakout player. I'll start with the AFC East. 1. New England Patriots Predicted Record: 13-3 Strengths: - Best coaching in the NFL. BB is a god and can out coach anyone. - Best QB in the NFL in...
