1. Thinking about a hitch mounted motorcycle rack - opinions?   (17 May 2009)
Looking at one of these: http://www.discountramps.com/smc-600...cle-hauler.htm The rack will carry my bikes, but will my truck? The bike is right at 500 lbs. Can't seem to find any info on how much carrying weight the Rannger will handle. I'm using a 2" Curt tubular hitch BTW.

2. Thinking about a triumph street triple, need opinions   (02 May 2009)
I'm thinking of getting a second bike, my needs are as follows: -great looking bike -around 12-15k -decent gas mileage / 4.5 gallon tank minimum -more used for commuting/hooligan bike-ish / standard layout bike -looking for comfort but with good handling / agility -hopefully pretty light, from 360-410ish lbs I went and checked out the hypermotard, the streetfighter, the tuono, the dorsuduro, the benelis, the z1000, and finally, the triumphs. I'm torn between a speed triple, and a street triple R...

3. Thinking About Taking This Bike -   (21 Jun 2009)
So for about 4 weeks now Ive been staring at this open locker door with a roadbike in it. I went over and looked at it today, its a Trek 1200 that needs some TLC. right off the back the brakes are shot, probably needs a few new accessories for the shifting system, as its a tension system (just move a lever a certain amount per gear). The tires are flat, its got an old speedo on it and a lock with the keys clipped on to the cable (not locked up though). I closed the door, but Im considering takin...

4. Thinking about kicking the kickstarter to the curb.   (12 Jun 2009)
So I have 60 hours on my WR and decided to give it a really good cleaning, mostly because here in Eastern KS I have been riding in the mud for the last 2months straight. Come on dry season! Seems to be in the middle of July last two years I've lived up here. But anyways I was going around the bike and lubing every little pivot on it. I flipped out the kick starter to spray rust prohibiter on the pipe clamp and noticed that it felt dry. So I took it apart and started to grease it when I realized...

5. What do you think about nude bikes?   (30 Apr 2009)
Potential first time rider wants: -fun, comfortable, reliable bike for some city riding and cruising around the open freeway Dont want: -mega fast, mega-douche, super-sport crotch-rocket Dont want to temp myself to kill myself... so no crazy 600/750cc bikes. A common starter bike is Ninja 250... but thats style SS-styled. Im interested in something more laid back like the Ducati Monster without ofcourse the Ducati price tag or power. Perhaps something 1/2liter. Should be fun to ride and mega-rel...

6. Thinking about buy a sport classic.. fogged oil window?   (03 Jun 2009)
Hey guys, I actually live down in the bay area now of San Fran, but i'd liek to get multiple opinions... I'm looking at buying a ducati sport classic, and would like to get your opinion on two things. The first is, I'm looking at buying a Ducati sport Classic. (2007) The original owner dropped the bike at 50 miles, (not that slow at all) his body taking the brunt of the low side. I believe him after seeing the large scar and he has receipts proving the left side of the bike specifically was repl...

7. Thinking about a Gixxer   (29 May 2009)
Whether I need help deciding between a 600 or a 750, or I need help of the psychological variety, I'm not sure yet. That's why I'm posting. Lately, I've become more and more interested in getting a street bike. I've posted on a few forums, and a lot of people have given me a lot of opinions. I've gotten everything from a Honda Nighthawk 750 to a Hayabusa. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm somewhat in between as a rider. I've been riding dirt bikes for about 4 years, and I've ridd...

8. What do you think about custom bikes?   (23 May 2009)
What do you guys think about custom bikes? Are they only for pros? Never for noobs? If someone has a big enough budget, then they should go for it? Tell me what you guys think.

9. Thinking about getting a bike   (04 Jun 2009)
Thinking about getting a bike   Well ive been thinking about doing my CBT and getting a bike for a while but theres quite a few things im unsure about and figured this would be the best place to ask ::crazy:: - On a CBT i am informed you can ride any bike as long as its restricted to 33bhp :$? So obviously theres no point getting anything stupidly big but ive been looking at a kawazaki ZXR400 in lime green which looks quite smart for £400, Tiny bit of cosmetic damage where the bike fell off the...

10. Thinking about a new bike and have some questions   (28 Apr 2009)
I have been stuck for years. I was increasing mileage and got stuck at a metric century. I want to do Centuries, a couple every year at least. My current bike is a Gunnar Sport. It's a great bike and pretty good for long rides. My weight is 250 and the frame is not entirely happy about that. I am already losing weight, and once I start racking up some miles, I'll lose more. I see a couple choices. The cheap one is that I get a bike like the Surly LHT and use that as a commuter/lite tourer. The s...
