I just got my first bike in about ten years ( 2006 wr 450 with only 160 miles, whoohoo) and I was wondering if anybody has any strong preferences for the brand of oils they use. I was thinking Maxima or maybe just sticking to Yamalube. All opinions apppreciated!

3. X: My cat care opinions.   (05 Jun 2009)
These are just my opinions and perhaps some are not correct. Any improvements will be welcome. A. Why keep cats? Cats keep down mice and also keep us in touch with ourselves. Ancient Egyptians believed that cats were guardians of the afterlife. This is understandable when we consider the true stories of children finding their way home by following their cats. When the time comes, you may or may not happen to find that life exists after death. If it does, and if it does not appear to be the apple...

4. 10w oil in FL?   (08 May 2009)
Hiya guys. I've gotta change my oil and money's tight right now as most of you understand. So I don't wanna spend $7/qt for Synpower 5w-40. My question. I'm gonna go cheaper on oil so since in live in Florida where it's easily gonna be hitting 90s here shortly, could I run a 10w? I can find 10w40 all day long. My thinking is that it's heavier while cold, but since it's blazing here in Florida it might equal out. I WILL run 5w-40 in the winter, but would 10w be ok in the summer. Are the clearance...

5. Thinking about buy a sport classic.. fogged oil window?   (03 Jun 2009)
Hey guys, I actually live down in the bay area now of San Fran, but i'd liek to get multiple opinions... I'm looking at buying a ducati sport classic, and would like to get your opinion on two things. The first is, I'm looking at buying a Ducati sport Classic. (2007) The original owner dropped the bike at 50 miles, (not that slow at all) his body taking the brunt of the low side. I believe him after seeing the large scar and he has receipts proving the left side of the bike specifically was repl...

On my Y2K 748. It appears to be either valve cover or possibly front camshaft seal behind the cam gear (see pic below) What do you guys think? This is what got me looking around. I washed/waxed bike last year before I put it away, and I know I wiped this area clean.. 8. Any opinions as to why DII 4.6s are eating oil pumps?   (30 Jun 2009)
About a month ago, I did a headjob and cam swap on a dII. Curiously, the lobes serving one bank of the engine were badly worn and the other side, not so much. Sadly, there was much evidence that the headgaskets had been replaced before (bashed bulkhead, scotchbrite evidence on the head sealing surface). At the 500 mile point, the owner took the truck to a Jiffy-Lube sort of shop for a change to synthetic. Even more sadly, they did NOT change the oil filter!!! I got the front cover off and no sur...

10. Lime Prime Lite v Cleaner Fluid   (26 Jun 2009)
Hi all, Been thinking about trying out the Dodo Juice range for a while now. Would be nice to know if anyone has any experience with both Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite and Swissvax Cleaner Fluid and how the two apply / compare as Dodo Juice is half the price. Also some views on how well Lime Prime Lite works as a cleaner and paintwork cleanser. Does Lime Prime Lite feed the paintwork with the necessary oils like the more expensive counterpart? Some comparisons and opinions would be very helpful in...
