Quote: : ORLANDO, Fla. -- LeBron James walked off the court, head down, brushing off a few pieces of confetti. He ignored the few taunts by Magic fans and took one last look at the crowd without muttering a word.
Not to anyone.
A scintillating series by the NBA's MVP was washed away by his not-so-supporting cast, as the Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated Saturday night with a 103-90 loss to the Orlando Magic in Game 6 of the Eastern Conferen...

Why are reporters so Damn opinionated?
(18 May 2009)
Aren't they just supposed to relay the facts?
Isn't their claim of "objectivity" the reason why they always bring it the opposing view
(now that Obama is in the WH that is) who usually just spew bullshit without any great challenge?
Shouldn't someone break it to them that we are not interested in their opinions?
That if we want opinions, we'll go read some Op-eds?

In the gun issue, many gun owners are quick to demonize the media without a second thought. I dont completely blame anyone for a healthy dose of cynicism, but sometimes I wonder where its coming from and whether its appropriate.

something to think about
(03 May 2009)
Quote: : Not long ago, sports writer Selena Roberts compared the Duke lacrosse players to gang members and career criminals.
She claimed that the players unwillingness to confess to or snitch about a rape (that did not happen) was the equivalent of drug dealers and gang members promoting antisnitching campaigns.

Violence escalating in Tehran. - Rants & Opinions - General Discussion
(19 Jun 2009)
Thanks to the great control over the media exercized by the Iranian authority, details as to the ongoing protests have been sketchy, though pictures and video footage has leaked to western reporters and websites alike, giving the world a glimpse as to what was taking place in Tehran, the capital of Iran, in response to the last election.
