1. Sonus Faber Owners Thread   (09 May 2009)
Hey I noticed that there was no Sonus Faber owner's thread here to talk about this great Italian speaker. We just purchased the Cremona M speakers in black, but not after a seriously thinking about the Focal 37's. They were just too big for the room as you can see here: These speakers will be paired with a Mark Levinson 433 amp (3 x 400 watts @ 4ohms) along with an anthem D2v2 pre/pro (which ships next week) and a Rel Subwoofer. The screen you see is a Pioneer kuro 141FD plasma. We can't wait fo...

2. Livechat with Faber and Brown: Urijah - I would hit Pacquiao with a low blow...   (10 May 2009)
Quote: : Maggie Hendricks: Hey everyone. We'll get started in just a few moments, but in the meantime, start turning in your questions for Urijah Faber, who will be fighting to get his belt back on June 7 in Sacramento! 2:01 Maggie Hendricks: Urijah, you there? 2:01 Urijah: What up What up 2:02 Maggie Hendricks: How is training going? 2:02 [Comment From Guest ] Urijah, This is Ryan Wooten From OKC, I feel you may have not taken Brown serious the first time, What are you going to do to change the...

3. Very Troubling --US Hyperinflation   (03 Jun 2009)
How many of you would buy these analysis and opinions? Jim Rogers -- hyperinflation is a very real possibility; don't bet against it. Marc Faber --is 100% sure of US hyperinflation John Williams (of SGS) -- hyperinflationary great depression is unavoidable http://finance.yahoo.com/tech-ticker...&asset=&ccode= http://www.shadowstats.com/article/hyperinflation Personally, I still haven't seen the insight even after reading the articles.

4. Great pre/pro and m/ch amp combo for stereo?   (16 Jun 2009)
I've been using my Sonus Faber Grand Piano Home speakers for HT (with REL Storm III sub) with McIntosh MHT100 and for stereo with McIntosh 6900 for quite a long time now and now think about combining multichanell and stereo set ups in one. Sick of changing the cables etc. I know that Onkyo 906 is a good recommendation for sonics but I doubt that an integrated receiver will sound killer in stereo so basically I need a great pre/pro and power amp that will deliver superb stereo sound as well as HT...

5. White kitty on black stonehenge wip   (09 Jun 2009)
Well, I guess you all thought I backed out on this one. I didn't, I just waited until I got the Saral transfer paper that Rosemary suggested. I LOVE it! This will be a wip but I am having problems with the internet at home and so I got pretty far along before I posted anything. I got many great suggestions on how to approach this and after pondering and practicing a bunch with every single kind of pencil I have, I went with the Faber Castell pollychromos and stonehenge paper and it's 8 x 11. I'm...

6. Concert in Gateshead on June 11th   (03 Jun 2009)
Thursday June 11th, at The Sage in Gateshead Robin Guthrie, co-founder of the mighty Cocteau Twins, collaborator with This Mortal Coil, Chapterhouse and Harold Budd and co-founder of the Bella Union label, headlines a night of music, moving image and spoken word. Maverick record label and Fife-based artist association The Fence Collective provides special guest, James Yorkston - who writes “songs that sound not so much written as carefully retrieved from your own subconscious” (The Times) - with...

8. WEC 41 Preview: Josh Grispi vs. Jens Pulver (I HOPE JENS WINS)   (04 Jun 2009)
One of the most interesting matchups taking place this weekend should be the classic battle of youth vs. experience in the featherweight bout between Jens "Little Evil" Pulver and Josh "The Fluke" Grispi. At only 20 years of age, Grispi has been involved in 13 professional MMA bouts, and he's only been past the first round once in his career. The Boston-area native has been surprisingly effective in both the grappling department and striking game for such a young competitor, and he's been able t...

9. Alright, so what's everyone's opinion so far ... Topps or Donruss   (12 May 2009)
When I started collecting MMA cards, it seemed a bit of a chore, but luckily, I caught some breaks along the way. I've picked up some nice pieces at some pretty good prices, and I'm excited to get more. The more I look at the Topps set, the more I dislike it. Sure, there's a lot of fighters, and neat chase cards in it, but the card design is just horrible, not to mention the photos on the fronts of the cards themselves. I understand it was an attempt to capture an image for their initial fight i...
