22 Hornet Resizing
(12 Apr 2009)
I'm not new to reloading but new to the 22 Hornet and have read that there is a small problem with case buckling. I plan to use a Lyman M-die in addition to the standard 2 die set. I've read that some remove the expander from the resizing die and then use the M-die only to expand the neck after full length resizing. Any opinions/ideas?
Thanks,
JPJ

OK, Resizing Photos again. A Teckie Look:
(01 May 2009)
This is an added post to the one that Steve put up the other day.
Since then I have spent countless hours with various programs. What I am looking for is a way to down size photos to load to pbase. Nothing new here you say. There are A bunch of programs out there that will do 800 x 600 very easily.
Well I have been looking for one that will take my original that looks very good on my monitor and resize it and still have a quality shot to load to pbase. I have not had a camera before with multipl...

Marking my photos...Opinions needed
(11 Apr 2009)
Mine is always in the same post, as t is part of an action that does my frame, watermark and resizing all at once.
On ocassion it lands on/near the face, but so far I have not found it to be a real problem.
I mark the frame with my company name and the pic with company initials.
examples of it not on the person, on the person and on the face...

Resize vs Redraw
(13 May 2009)
The answer to the question is probably of personal taste, but id like to get your opinion
Lets say I have a 100% x 100% resizable website and I have a horizontal border at the top.
Say the border is red, with a height of 40 pixels. The width will be set when the stage is resized.
Would you rather :
A)
Draw the border with an arbitrary width and then set the .width property on stage resize.
Ex :
ActionScript Code: private var _borderTop:Sprite; private function drawBorder ( ) : void { _border...

backup oracle system files
(30 Jun 2009)
Hello Everybody ~~
I would like to derive the backup/restore procedure before a datafile resizing. Cos the size of the whole DB is quite large (>2T).
Any ideas for only DB datafile recovery if the resizing got problem. i know that the "alter datafile .. resize.." is quite safe but really wanna have a backup plan.
I have think about several approach:
1. Cold backup --> too large and time consuming for recover
2. imp/exp --> too many objects --> time consuming
3. Tablespace point in ti...

Shooting casing with new primer, but no powder
(18 May 2009)
This may sound sort of crazy, but i was thinking about resizing a few casings, depriming, repriming, and then skipping the powder and seating a bullet. Reason being, I'd like to hear what a primer with no powder sounds like, going off in a gun. I'm thinking, sometime during my lifetime, I, like most, will forget to charge a round...when I do, I'd like to be completely aware of how it sounds.
Has anyone done this, and are there any adverse effects to the gun?

image not resizing
(10 Jun 2009)
im having a problem , the images are not resizing within the jr battle module
To me this seems to be a JAMROOM issue in the image.php module delivered with JAMROOM.
The code is standard JAMROOM delivered to show picture: http://yoursite/image.php?mode=song_image&band_id=1&song_id=1&height=96&width=96&skin=Nova
Yet, in your case it brings up the full size picture. No clue why. In my humble opinion: Nothing to do with jrBattle
One of your pictures as saved for the artist is 96 x 96 pixels.
The oth...

Graham Thompson - OPTIMO Hats
(05 Jul 2009)
Integrity & Honesty - you can expect from OPTIMO Hats and its proprietor, Graham Thompson.
I sent in a couple of hats to have resized and upon their arrival at Optimo I received a phone call as to Graham's assesment of the projects. I clearly mistook an older Cavanagh as one in good shape and should have dusted it off and inspected it more closely than I did, before sending it off to Optimo.
Graham pointed out some major problems with the hat, worn away area on the crown, a sizeable moth hole on...

For EVERYONE who posts pics or thinks about posting pics
(10 May 2009)
As you all know, many times when someone posts pics, the pics are HUGE, hard to see and create havoc on our monitors. Therefore, I am going to suggest that any of you who are not knowledgable using a photo editor to resize the pictures do this:
Go to http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm and download this free little program whose ONLY job is to quickly and easily resize your photos and compress them into a small file size suitable for upload to the internet or for emailing.
It will NOT affect...
