Evolution vs. Intelligent Design who should be taught in schools.
(07 Jun 2009)
K. I know that this is a very long debate that has been the source of many problems both in society and individually. I'd like to hear your opinions on this I have my own and i'm going to post it by parts in my blog along with other topics. But let me give you a brief overview of what I think should be taught in schools. I believe that evolution should be taught in schools BUT NOT AS A SCIENCE. Same goes for Intelligent design ( Politically correct form of Creationism). Both should be taught and...

Why I don't buy intelligent design
(04 Jun 2009)
Another one of the key theist arguments I've come across is the idea that this reality is too perfect, and could not have been reached by random luck. There is a flaw with this.
To say that this reality could have not been reached by processes involving the "random" sequencing between the big bang, the creation of stars and planets, and the evolutionary theory, is to assume this reality to be a goal. From point A to point B, a straight line. You fall off the line, you're fucked. And apparently,...

Creationism vs. Evolution vs. Intelligent Design vs. Flying Spaghetti Mon...
(09 Jun 2009)
Well, I'm not sure if there is another thread like this. If there is, please, I guess, merge it or move this.
I, for one, agree with evolution. Evolution is a natural process, and makes more sense than a God coming down and creating all that is. Evolution happens everywhere: skin color, eye shape, hair color are all microevolutions, per se, in our own species.
This would be a good place to post your opinions. But please don't rant or flame. Just a good discussion.

Intelligent life thought.
(13 Apr 2009)
I was just thinking about people and life and then a question came into my mind. If we were to find intelligent life less advanced than us what would we do? If we discovered another planet close enough we could travel there and also survive on. It wouldn't be far advanced but they know how to do things like make fire, invented the wheel, and have very basic weapons for hunting. They are nothing similar to human though in their appearance.
Do you think we would just hunt them down?
Would you find...

What do ya think about Ryan Seacrest for NBC
(18 Jun 2009)
I just wanted to see if anybody had any better ideas about The Tonight Show, everyone that I have talked to are switching over to Dave Letterman. So I got to thinking, how about Ryan Seacrest to be the Host, he sits in for Larry King on CNN, and he does a great job. Plus he does idol, (that will draw that younger crowd) I am 40 and I like Ryan, I think he is very talented at speaking with people, classy, intelligent, very skilled @ improv. Plus he is pretty good looking.
So is this a bad idea or...

I guess am not an intelligent rider
(16 Jun 2009)
Pointed Opinions on Riding Motorcycles!
According to this author, I am not an intelligent rider. Here is one example, I use a Zumo 550 to pipe directions into my helmet, but I learned I should be using a map attached to my tank bag, such as he does.
Here is more from the author:
“What sort of motorcycle does an intelligent rider choose? He or she definitely wants one with excellent and powerful anti-lock brakes (ABS), superb handling, sufficient power, standard handlebars and seating ergonomics,...

While visiting India, George Bush is invited
to tea with Abdul Kalam.
He asks Kalam what his leadership philosophy is.
He says that, it is to surround himself with

Bush asks how he knows if they're intelligent.
"I do so by asking them the right questions," says
Kalam. "Allow me to demonstrate."

A Real Jameer Nelson Thread (Long Post, Calling only intelligent, real posters...
(12 May 2009)
I've been reading quite a number of posts claiming Jameer Nelson is our savior and he is our go to clutch scorer and he will propel the Magic to the championship next year when he is healthy. And I've actually did some research to come up with an opinion that states "Jameer Nelson is being overrated and placed on a pedestal."
Jameer Nelson has always been a player with great fg%, especially propelling in the 2008-2009 season. And not only did he increase his ft% from 70% to 89% from his rookie y...
