Dodge or Chevy?

Hello
My dad is debating on whether or not he should get a Dodge diesel, or a Cheverolet diesel. It is going to be a diesel either way, and Ford is already out of the question, so please no comments on Ford. He wants a Dodge because of the Cummins, and you can get a lot of performance upgrades on it, but he likes Chevy because of the looks, and the transmission. If he gets a Dodge, I think he shoud get a Mega Cab, but he don't think so.
Based on experience with either truck, what is your opinion...

thinking about upgrading from a suburban 454 2500 to either a 8.1 2500 or v10 f250? what is the better buy? i am only pulling around 8000 lbs, and dont really plan on changing that, i am thinking around 80,000 miles or less, what are the good year, and anything to look out for? lets get some advice! btw i am a chevy guy, but am unbiased about this vehicle!

I need the input of you Pros...
I have a 1.9 TDI that is essentially brand new. It came from a crash test car.
I was planning to put in in my Caddy, but the transmission issue has turned out to be much more costly & bothersome than I figured. I will give up & sell the Caddy.
I would like to know what kind of horsepower & torque to expect from the TDI. I will have Giles build an M-TDI pump for me. I hope to get the approximate power of a stock Chevy 283.

2000 Chevy Venture Super Charged 3800 Swap?

OK Heres The Deal... Some of you know that i had bought a 2000 Chevy Venture with high miles 185,000 It now has 188,000 because of going on a trip yada yada yada... Still runs pretty good. What ever! I don't trust this particular engine (3.4)....
So here is my Idea Because i have to drive this van most of the time ... Will it work???

2002 Chevy Cavalier A/C compressor oil leak

I'm looking for knowlegable opinions on my problem. I have a 2002 Cavalier with 62,000 miles, I beleive it has the GM V5 compressor. For the past 2 years it has a very slow oil seepage at the control valve, at the bottom of the compressor. It forms a drip every several weeks. The A/C system is still working great, but someday it is going to run out of oil!! At the auto store they have a 2oz oil charge (no refrigerant). I am thinking about adding 1 or 2 ounces of pag 100 or 150 to keep me going f...

Been looking off and on at new trucks sent last December. Don't need to replace my Dakota work truck yet, but will next year most likely. Been thru the whole gammit of dealer crap, heard about how sales were good, were dealing but not giving away for nothing, etc. etc.
So, I got a flurry of e-mails today from the 3 Chevy dealers I was talking to all with new offers, along with an e-mail from Chevy with a $750 coupon to be used for a new truck (or $500 for any vehicle).
Sent one dealer an e-mail...

350 chevy Tbi and 700r4

Ok first off I have a 1989 silverado with a piece of crap 305 in it. Its old and on its way out however the truck is in great shape and has a 700r4 that is in perfect condition. I also have a 1994 silverado that I had put a 1972 4 bolt 350 into. After changing heads to accommodate the tbi intake and putting the sensors on it I neglected to think that the mild rv cam in it was not computer friendly. After putting it in I got it to idle great but the computer kept altering the spark thus making it...

I need a new car and was thinking about a Cobalt. I work at a GM dealership and therefore only really see them when they are broke, but wanted to get a view from someone who owns one. Thanks.

Has anyone ever used bop-chevy adapters?

Are the BOP-chevy tranny adapter plates any good?
I think they are about 3/4 inch thick and would possibly cause the need to shorten the drive-shaft.
I have been pondering the option of putting a 455 in a 4WD chevy truck.
Are there issues with the plates when making over 500 fpt?
Has anyone used them?
Were there any problems?
I know there is a lot of other modifications needed for the swap,and I am only at the dreaming stage right now.
