I was VERY against the idea of Stafford 1st overall, but the more I listen to the experts and pundits, I think I've switched camps.
I think we as Lion fans are so scared of busting on a QB that we're willing to take a lesser talent at a position of less impact. What Don Coryell had was a great tank commander's vision, and thus the spine and guile to attack Point B from Point A the quickest and most devastating way possible, using X's and O's tactics previous football minds never imagined.
