Amazing Rashad interview post fight
(26 May 2009)
Very funny shit.
Q: Rashad, what did you think of Machida's 'elusive' style?
Rashad: Elusive? You know what weren't elusive? His feet. You know what else weren't elusive? His fists. Somebody should have clarified that for me before the fight. If he was elusive tonight I don't want to face the man when he decides to stop being elusive.
Q: A lot of people complain that they fall asleep when they watch Machida fight, what do you think about that?
Rashad: I can relate, I feel asleep during our fight...

MMA Fans...Machida vs Evans, Who'll Win?
(26 May 2009)
The UFC Light Heavyweight title fight is this coming Saturday. I say Lyoto Machida wins as long as he stays clear of Rashad's overhand right. Any opinions?

Rashad Evan vs Lyoto Machida
(15 May 2009)
Rashad Evans is my favorite fighter, has been my favorite fighter I saw him on ultimate Fighter Season 2, as much as I wanna see him dismantle Lyoto Machida, I dont think its going to happen, i'm picking Lyoto Machida by unanimous decision. I think Rashad Evans has a weakness to leg kicks and Lyoto is too elusive for Rashad to stop them, but Rashad does have the speed to catch Lyoto dead square on his chin too so I dont know, all I know 1 more freaking week til this matchup and im more stoked fo...

Enter the Dragon: An MMAmania.com UFC 98 interview exclusive with Lyoto Machida...
(16 May 2009)
Elusive. Methodical. Unbeaten.
There are plenty of adjectives available to describe Lyoto Machidas style inside the Octagon. One not frequently heard however, was aggressive.
That all changed at UFC 94.
The Dragon gave fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva a taste of his own medicine when he knocked him out on the main card of St. Pierre vs. Penn 2″ last January.
It was an exclamation point on the evolution of his career, that at times was criticized for being a bit too elusive even boring at ti...

I think JA is set to shock us Bears fan, yet again!! After pulling off the all-time jaw-dropper by trading to get Cutler, he is now going to stun us again by trading up in the Draft to land the WR we need. Heres how I see this playing out- If Nicks or Britt happens to be there at around...

synns fight of the week thread
(03 Jul 2009)
Okay sports fans, my fight of the week column is back after a long hiatus. I've been busy lately with jiu jitsu, work, and other shit like that, but now that i've got some time off (my knee popped after getting heel hooked in class a couple days ago) it's time for a return to what I do best. Writing about fights.
Let's get down to it.
Jon 'War Machine' Koppenhaver is nuts. He's fucking crazy. Anyone who watched TUF season 6 will agree with this assessment. Lately he's been creating controversy w...

Machida interview
(26 Jun 2009)
Interview by Gustavo Noblat (Terra.com) with UFC LHW Champion Lyoto Machida:
Terra.com: Did MMA joined into Lyoto Machida Era?
Lyoto Machida: I think it's too early to talk like that. Now that I'm just became the champion I still have a lot to prove. It's very hard to take the UFC belt, keeping it is even harder. There is a lot of good fighters in my division. I think it's a bit too early to say that we joined an Era of this or that fighter. Someday I'll be able to talk like that but only if I k...

Interview: Matt Hughes 1 Win away from record
(01 May 2009)
If you have a co-worker you just can't stand, you know how Matt Hughes and Matt Serra feel about each other. But at your job, you probably can't get away with punching, kicking or choking out that intolerable office mate.
Hughes and Serra, however, will settle their differences in the Octagon at UFC 98 , and they can't wait. When I interviewed Hughes about their upcoming fight, he sounded excited and energetic about the opportunity to step into the cage with Serra, the man he's feuded with since...
