1. Thinking about another convertible.   (06 May 2009)
So I have been debating on adding another convertbile to the stable. A few things it must have: 1. A back seat (bummer, or I'd buy another Crossfire ). 2. Decent reliability. 3. Decent power. 4. Decent safety. 5. Must be a used car. 6. No high mileage, I would say 75k+, unless it is an older car, say pre 1980s. 7. Priced at 13k or less. 8. Be in good or great shape. Age, brand, etc. matters not. Some I have thought about learning more about : 1. PT Cruiser GT Convertible 2. 90s BMW 3 series 3. F...

2. Need opinions on drop & emblem matters:   (22 May 2009)
1) I have a pretty much stock '05 nbp type-s. i dropped it on just eibach pro-kit springs because of the great reviews i read on here; however, at several angles, i feel the drop is simply not enough. i guess since the car's black the small wheel gap doesn't bother me too much, but it's just.. I feel the front of the car is not low enough. So I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much of a difference adding a mugen front lip would make in terms of making the front look lower. I mean, it defi...

3. Why do people think weight matters?   (13 May 2009)
I like Chris's game, but Dennis is on a whole other level. What does it matter if Chris was getting the 4 out if he doesn't shoot. As far as Dennis being the best money player, there have been lots of threads and opinions and I think there is another person from the Philippines who can claim that title.

4. Papal Infallibility: Ex Cathedra vs. Infallible in matters of faith and morals...   (03 Jul 2009)
Can you help me reconcile two points I've heard here? 1) When the Pope teaches on faith and/or morals, he is infallible. 2) Ex Cathedra, defined in 1870, has only been used twice. (Immaculate Conception in 1854 & Assumption of Mary in 1950) Are both true? Can someone suggest a simple way think about papal infallibility?

5. Ten Useless Matters   (26 May 2009)
Ten Useless Matters Imam Ibn ul Qayyim al Jawziyyah There are ten useless matters: 1. Knowledge that is not acted on 2. The deed that has neither sincerity nor is based on following the righteous examples of others 3. Money that is hoarded, as the owner neither enjoys it during this life nor obtains any reward for it in the Hereafter 4. The heart that is empty of love and longing for Allah, and of seeking closeness to Him 5. A body that does not obey and serve Allah 6. Loving Allah without follo...

6. Character Matters: Irena Sendler   (26 Jun 2009)
By Harris Sherline June 25, 2009 We often read or hear stories about courage and heroism without stopping to think about the greater meaning they convey. And, all too often, we make a brief mental note of them and move on with the routine concerns of our daily lives. But, such stories have special meaning - because they exemplify the best and perhaps most important aspect of personal character: helping others without any expectation of compensation or reward. Doing good for its own sake. It happ...

8. Why the "paperwork" matters.   (18 May 2009)
I have seen a new slant to the postings of some here in this forum, that the actual beliefs of the RCC does not matter, but that what matters is the "fruits" of Catholics. This, of course, is a major error in thinking. After thinking about it myself, I do see what they are trying to do. Those people here who are attacking the church believe that Catholics only believe what they do (Assumption, PV of Mary, the Eucharist) because they are Catholic. So, their logic is that if they can convince us n...

10. Cynicism- is it the technique that matters?   (29 Jun 2009)
Something I've been thinking about recently; As martial artists, a lot of us are hung up on technique. You know, will this work against that, you know the drill. But from my observations (and I do mean just that, observations. I'm not pretending to be an 'expert street fighter' or anything) it seems that the technique is more or less irrelevant as long as it lands. That leads me to think that, in fact, it doesn't matter whether what you practice looks 'realistic', it's more a case of drilling an...
