I need your help Houstonians. I searched old threads to try and get some ideas to no avail. My Mom and my aunt are coming this weekend and would like to do some things that are unique to Houston. I am pretty new here myself. I guess when i think about things like museums, the galleria, art galleries, etc.. I feel like those are things you can do in most big cities so not really interested in that. NASA is the only thing that came to mind that would be unique to this city. Already been to Kemah,...

Moving to Denver from Houston-City/Area Equivalencies?

My husband has been offered a job in Denver and we are excited to get out of the Houston Metro. We currently live in Sugar Land and like it a lot.
I am looking for some advice about the cities/areas in Denver and if anyone can help me draw some correlations. Like in the Houston area Sugar Land, Missouri City, & Pearland are common bedroom communities for those that work in the medical center. Bellaire/West U/Southside Place are the upper middle class neighborhoods where it is very kid friendly,...

Rockets are prolly my 3rd favorite team but they have so much talent. I remember when they traded rudy gay for battie, and i knew they would eventually regret it, and im not taking anything from battie, but how good could houston be if they kept gay?

So I am in southern houston, precisely league city, on a business trip.
Need opinions about some factory outlets ( need to buy running shoes: Nike, reebok.. And, watches)
Within 25 miles or so of kemah or anywhere south of Houston.
And damn the weather sucks..

Alright just putting this out here as there is a slight chance, probably very slight chance, I will be moving to Houston. I just put my resume in to GE, building wind turbine generators. I have some inside contacts there that are at pretty decent levels in the company so the chances are higher than normal.

Just got my EVO X has under 500 miles on it and I think I'm going to get something else.
Before you start worrying about my sanity I am keeping the EVO and deeply in love with in a way that makes my wife question our marriage.
I am thinking about getting an old Jeep Wrangler to drive back and forth to work in and when we flood (sounds silly but floods are kinda common in houston)
Never owned a Jeep and was curious if anyone had any input? Love them, hate them?
