Custom bubble hockey team question
(12 May 2009)
I'm buying this bubble hockey game and I'm going to get custom players on both sides.
http://www.everygameroom.com/ICE-SC1000X-ICE1009.html
I'm thinking about going old Sabres vs. Current ones, but I'm not sure who I should pick for names and numbers.
For example:
Mogilny, LaFontaine, Hawerchuk
Sutton, Svoboda
Hasek
Vs.
Vanek, Roy, Connolly
Tallinder, Lydman
Miller
What would you do? I was thinking about doing original jerseys vs. goatheads for the jerseys, but I can't decide on the players. Sho...

Best 8/16 bit version of Bubble Bobble / New Zealand Story
(06 Jun 2009)
Right, I have a rare opportunity for some retro gaming action in front of the telly tonight (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif )
In the past, I've favoured the Master System versions of Bubble Bobble and NZS - however, I've never tried stuff like PC Engine or owt like that. I suppose the Amiga versions are probably a good bet, too.
Please offer your opinions on which format offers the superior version. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif )

Reusing Bubble Mailers: Good or Bad?
(22 Jun 2009)
By Christian Racho aka xSquatx
As a card collector, you can send cards by a PWE (Plain White Envelope) or a bubble mailer. Most people use bubble mailers because it is safer to use than a regular envelope. Nowadays since our economy is going down, we find ways to spend less but try to live our normal lives. ThatÂ’s where reusing bubble mailers come from, to save money and recycle. But some people disagree with reusing bubble mailers in some circumstances. From overpaying buyers on eBay for shippi...

Air pump bubble wand question
(03 Jun 2009)
I would like to put a bubble wand or disk in my 75 gallon tank. I would guess that it is best to get one rated for that size of tank, but I am looking to run only one device with it. It seems like the air pumps are designed to run more then one device per outlet, and for my tank size the air pumps have two outlets. I could hook up two bubble wands, but that seems a bit excessive. So I want to know what others would recommend.
I am thinking about the Marineland Flexible Bubble Wand since it is we...

Bubble rig lures?
(03 Jun 2009)
I love fishing bubble rigs off the pier and in the surf. I've always used straw rigs, specifically the flourescent tubing stuff used for sunglasses. I'm thinking about trying some different lures this summer - maybe some small spoons or something. What all have you used under a bubble? I'd like something with more baitfish type flash than a tube.
Thanks!

Bubble Level
(24 Apr 2009)
I know there has been a lot of talk about bubble levels before but is one make better then another. I see at B&H they have the 2 axis flash hot shoe from $25 and up, are these that different from the ones that sale for $5 on E-Bay from Hong Kong?
I have been thinking about getting one and decided now is better then any other time..
Thanks in advance,
James

Bubble Deals
(22 Jun 2009)
Not a new topic, but the old classics are always worthy of a fresh debate.
You know the situation .... on the bubble of a typical live MTT (eg at The International ). Assume not a major festival event, just a regular daily comp.
I am never the one to propose a deal for the bubble but I don't oppose it when it (inevitably) is suggested. For me, the reasons I don't object are (i) I don't like conflict so I don't want to be the bad guy and (ii) I suppose it speeds things up.
The bubble deal is one...
