1. What Do Former GN'R Members Think about CD?   (19 Apr 2009)
DUFF McKAGAN Quote: : Can you give me a five-word reivew of Chinese Democracy? Axl’s voice sounds killer. You have one more word. On... Quote: : On whether he's heard the new GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy": Duff: "I have, yeah. I think Axl [Rose, vocals] sounds amazing. I think it's a longevity thing; it will do...

3. The Former~Governor's Message for June 13, 2009   (14 Jun 2009)
Today is a special RANT show where the hosts are encouraging listeners to call in with 3 rants!! And this morning’s special repeat guest is another Red Maryland blogger, Mr. Mark Newgent. So far it seems that they disapprove of both President Obama and the current~governor. In fact ~ criticism of the current~governor by name seems a tad louder than normal. There’s been no mention so far about the announced Republican candidate for governor in 2010. I found that a tad odd since the former~governo...

4. Do coaches that were former players   (13 Jun 2009)
I was just thinking about this in regards to Mike Singeltary, Gary Kubiak and probably some others I don't remember right now. Do you think it is an advantage for these former player coaches over other coaches? I am thinking it helps because young players may have more respect for a coach who has played at the pro level before. But there are tons of great coaches who never played pro. Tuna, Madden ect. Just wondering what you might think the differences are and if there is an advantage for some...

5. A former friend of mine, going to prison for possessing child porn   (26 Jun 2009)
An old friend and former business associate of mine here in the midwest pleaded guilty the other day to downloading and possessing child porn. He was also a music teacher in two local schools. He has a 22 year old daughter. I was totally shocked when I first heard about my former friend last fall, and everyone who knew him is shocked as well. Although he may never have actually touched a child in a sexual way, his computer had hundreds of thousands of images of children who were exploited in the...

Gerstner Says Short-Term Capital Gains Should Be Taxed at 80% By Matthew Benjamin and Judy Woodruff June 25 ( Bloomberg ) -- One of America’s premier business leaders, Louis Gerstner, decrying the culture of short-term greed on Wall Street, called for changes to investment taxes, including an 80 percent tax on short-term capital gains. “If you buy something -- a stock or a bond -- in the morning, and you sell in the afternoon, the tax probably ought to be 80 percent,” said Gerstner, the former I...

7. Yet another build along!! (formerly kayak foundry?)   (17 Apr 2009)
anyone use it? Anyone ever built a yak from it? I modified a design I found on the net to make it shorter. I'm thinking of building it, but want some opinions on the accuracy of the software first. I'm attaching the design for review.

8. Former Laker Brian Grant Has Parkinsons   (18 May 2009)
Quote: PORTLAND, Ore. -- With a huge black-and-white painting of Bob Marley peering over one shoulder and a half-dozen framed NBA jerseys visible over the other, Brian Grant took a deep breath, ignored his left hand shaking as if it were trying to put out a match, and let go of the secret that had tormented him for the last four months. "I have young onset Parkinson's," he said. That's Parkinson's, as in the disease that disrupts the brain's coordination and control of muscle movement and motor...

10. Zulu7 and the other military current and former   (12 May 2009)
I am sure that you know that most of us on GB appreciate what you do. I hope that you feel it elsewhere as well. I think it's sad that some people only give recognition on Veteran's Day. I say give blacks November 11th and give the military and veterans a whole month! Just wanted to let you know that we really do think about you guys and I personally try not to take my freedoms for granted. Stay safe. And to those that are no longer serving, glad you made it back and sorry for the losses that yo...
