1. not unfeeling just not feeling   (28 May 2009)
I haven't posted here for awhile as it looks as though most with the problems I am having get surgery and it has been interesting reading, but disturbing as my symptoms worsen. At least I get to experience what it's like to go slowly and painfully paralyzed. It seems like the cspine and S nerves are 'neck in neck', if you get what I mean. It's hard to keep my mind focused on other things so I don't panic or get fed up. I haven't seen anyone posting with problems like mine who don't get surgery,...

2. [candidasupport] Weather   (27 Apr 2009)
On Mon, 27 Apr 2009 23:31:14 -0000, "Amy Fischer" <write2amyf@yahoo.com Is there any remedy for those that feel awful in overcast/muggy/dreary weather? How is candida affected by weather--is it the mold in the air? Barometric pressure is different, right? I think my migraines link to barometric pressure, but I am wondering if today's oddly warm/overcast/dreary weather is affecting the candida and triggering a migraine (which I may have warded off, by the way!). We were at an amusement...

3. "Why is this engine so damn complicated??" Part 1: Sequential turbos demy...   (24 May 2009)
Key words: vacuum, routing, simplified, sequential, boost, control, turbo Introduction We all know the flaws in the sequential turbo system. The biggest problems are that the components cannot stand up to the heat, and that the factory boost control system was designed for a completely stock car and needs a lot of tweaking to work right with mods. But did Mazda sit down and say "ok, I want a sequential turbo system [that's a can of worms in itself]. How can I make it as unreliable of a clusterfu...

4. Will comforting a fearful dog make it worse?   (28 Apr 2009)
Fear Reduction: A gentle hand or a tasty treat doesn’t reinforce fear, it reduces it By Patricia B. McConnell, PhD It was one in the morning, and I was wide awake. Thunderstorms had been rolling like waves over the farm all night, and this one was so loud I thought the windows might break. Lassie, my 14-year-old Border Collie, lay panting beside me. She’s almost deaf, but the combination of a falling barometer, lightning flashes and the crashes of thunder were enough to send her into a panic. As...

5. Elementum Ventus Review   (30 May 2009)
Introduction: On May 26th, 2009 Suunto released several models from its new Elementum line for “user review and testing”. I was fortunate enough to receive one of these watches. I would like to thank Suunto for allowing me this very kind opportunity. The Elementum line is, in my opinion, a step in a new direction for Suunto. This line of watches consists of 3 watches. The AQUA is a dive computer. The TERRA, is a “traditional” ABC “Field watch”. And the VENTUS is a watch designed for sailing enth...

6. Obtaining A Prescription For Oxygen Therapy   (19 May 2009)
Obtaining A Prescription For Oxygen Therapy and Playing Hardball With Your Medical Insurance Company If They Do Not Cover Oxygen Therapy If you don’t have a prescription for oxygen therapy, the following course of action has worked for many of us.  See your doctor or neurologist and ask for a prescription for oxygen therapy as an abortive for your cluster headaches.  It is very important that your prescription is written properly.   Depending on your medical insurance coverage, your physician ma...
