1. Time - What do you think about it?   (06 May 2009)
This is a simple debate thread for views on time, brought about by a little discussion between Elf Wind and Moonlight, now amplified into its very own thread. ^_^ So, what are your views, opinions and theories on the concept of time? Personally, I believe that time is non-existant. There is no "beginning of time" and there will be no "end of time" as time does not exist. Time is a human construction displayed on the face of a clock. It is not some all powerful, mighty thing. There will only be t...

2. Please, before you complain more, stop and think about what you're saying...   (26 Jun 2009)
I keep seeing the same asinine complaints over and over again. Let's stop and think about them for a minute: Complaint 1: The developers are releasing content without any regard for what the players think. Reality: Developers exist to satisfy the players. While they may get some things wrong, everything they change is because they feel it will enhance the gameplay. They are not changing things because they want to piss you off. They are changing things because they think it will make you enjoy t...

4. What Do Some Japanese Gamers Think About Online Gaming/Distribution?   (14 Apr 2009)
Japanese magazine Famitsu has polled a pool of 798 about their thoughts on what's going on with the game industry. The most interesting data was with online gaming. While 90 percent of those polled have used some sort of home console or portable console, only 24 percent of those have actually paid to use said service — meaning, we assume, they're not using paid services like Xbox LIVE. What's more, 58.5 percent use those networks for wireless ad hoc play (think Monster Hunter on the PSP). A larg...

5. Things to think about   (02 Jun 2009)
My first thread then O_O... Here it goes lol Now that we've brought Barry in (which is a fantastic buy imo), and taking into consideration the fact Hughes (and the majority of fans) would presumably have Ireland and De Jong in the first 11 for next season, you would think this is an obvious push for a 4-3-3 looking something along the lines of this: - - - - - - De Jong - - - - - - - - - - - Ireland - Barry - - - - - SWP - - - - - - - - - - Robinho - - - - - - - - ? - - - - - - - - - Now here's w...

6. Careful what you wish for democracy / majority rule   (21 Apr 2009)
Democracy and majority rule give an aura of legitimacy to acts that would otherwise be deemed tyranny. Think about it. How many decisions in our day-to-day lives would we like to be made through majority rule or the democratic process? How about the decision whether you should watch a football game on television or "Law and Order"? What about whether you drive a Chevrolet or a Ford, or whether your Easter dinner is turkey or ham? Were such decisions made in the political arena, most of us would...

7. Open letter to NOW and the FUND FOR THE FEMINIST MAJORITY: Read the whole...   (13 Jun 2009)
TO: The Fund for the Feminist Majority and the National Organization for Women FROM: Nikki Stone, a lifelong feminist Head's up. Last year, during the election, I got an email from The Fund and from NOW demanding that I immediately send an angry email to the New Yorker Magazine condemning their satirical cover of the Obamas. The fact that the cover was satirizing the crazy right wing paranoia about the Obamas didn't seem to matter; NOW and the FFM wanted me to send an email right away. The fact...

8. U.S. govt gets majority stake in GM?!?!   (30 Apr 2009)
So what do you guys think about this? As if the whole loans thing wasn't enough, now the government is going to own a majority of GM. It's enough for me to have stopped lurking and start posting. Of course it's all wrapped up in the whole Pontiac thing, but the reality is the Treasury will be able to basically run GM. I don't know if it's a good thing (GM sticks around) or a bad thing (the government isn't exactly known for its efficiency). Anyway, what do you guys and gals think? http://www.mot...

9. Williams: Democracy And Majority Rule   (15 Apr 2009)
By Walter E. Williams April 15, 2009 Democracy and majority rule give an aura of legitimacy to acts that would otherwise be deemed tyranny. Were such decisions made in t...

10. To Think About (Korean Style)   (01 Jun 2009)
To Think About Korean Style in IJJI Gunz Hello everyone, im doing this post just for you to think about of my personal opinion. I repeat, PERSONAL. If you don't agree with my opinion just post what you believe (its not necesary to be rude). Korean Style in IJJI Gunz is very different from original Korean Style. First, the new system of premium items is great, it gives some financial support to all that make IJJI Gunz possible, but in some way it influenced the Korean Style in Gunz (And not only...
