1. Thinking about getting the S60 Rear   (14 May 2009)
I have been buying parts that add power to my car, and this whole time I know I should upgrade the rear because it is the weakest link in the car. I have been looking into the Moser 12 bolt and ford 9 inch but I think I like the S-60 the best. It seems like it has the best durability for peace of mind and at the same price with less loss. I don't need it yet but I don't want to wait until I break the stocker either. Is anyone here running this S60 rear and even if you are not I would like to hea...

2. what do you think about Ford Focus   (18 Jun 2009)
My husband wants to buy me my first car. He said it may be new Ford Focus. We both have no experience in buying cars. Maybe some of you own this car. Is it worth to buy? Help me, please

3. I was thinking about oval racing after the Kansas race...   (14 May 2009)
I'm new to the board - have been an Indy Car fan since I was a kid. I have my own opinions about CART/IRL. This topic is not about any of that, so please don't go there. This is a thought about the Kansas race that popped into my head, especially after re-watching the 2000 and 2001 CART Michigan 500 races. I remember reading a few comments on here that the passing and lead changes were extremely lacking at Kansas. I agree. It reminded me of what oval racing was in the early to mid 1990's with CA...

4. 1988 Ford F350 Pickup Opinions wanted.   (19 Apr 2009)
I'm looking at buying a 1988 F350 Diesel pickup. Crew cab with full length bed. I think it has the smaller V8 engine, 4.3 L. It's a 2WD with a dually rear end. The goal is to convert it to run on veggie oil. It already has a dual tank system so it's halfway there. Anyone own one of these? Any major issues? Any opinions?

5. Ford Next-Generation vehicles   (13 Apr 2009)
Quote: : Ford Escape Plug-in Ford doesn't have anything as splashy as the Toyota Prius or Chevrolet Volt in its line-up - yet. But the carmaker has long touted its multi-tiered approach toward a gas-free future. Things have advanced far enough that some of these technologies are available to drive now, so we tried them out. The Ford Fusion Hybrid is just coming to market now. The Taurus SHO, with Ford's EcoBoost engine will be available this summer. The Ford Fiesta subcompact car will be here ne...

9. Ford F250 opinions: Cars, Trucks & Toys:   (03 May 2009)
What do you think of a 1999 F250 with the 5.4 ltr engine? I am in the market for a new tow vehicle and I have come across a few of these for what seems to be a really good price. They range anywhere from $1800 to $4500. I have heard horror stories about the spark plugs blowing out of the engine. One of the ones I found only had 130000 miles on it and they were asking $1800. The add said that they had already installed 3 plug inserts which means the engine had thrown 3 plugs. Would this be a good...

10. Thinking About the Car Thing, Redux...in honor of JD's Mini!   (12 Apr 2009)
OK, I posted this a couple of months ago: So, an update. Due to some diligence, extra income, and focus, my car is actually going to be paid off on May 1. Current value: $17K on trade-in (I have to get the cracked windshield fixed first, ~ $800, so net is $16.2K) or ~ $20K for private sale. I've done a LOT of test-driving, to find a car that's reasonably sporty (fun to drive), while still allowing my elderly mom to get in and out, and which will tow our jetski trailer. Thus far, I've driven: Aud...
