First of all read the Help for "Field codes: Eq (Equation) field" (Word
2003)
There are 2 ways for inserting fields:
* command based: Insert/Field/Categories:Eq &formulas/EQ/Field
codes/Options - Read description !
* keyboard based: Ctrl F9 - insert the field; afterwards you have to write
the field code and switches; for example, in order to create a fraction you
have to write between the 2 accolades: "EQ \F(a,b)"...

Is there in any way, possible to edit how word are set up as standard
The thing I'm thinking about is this:
When I put in a picture in a word-doc I have to open properties and remove
hatch?
where it says.; move object with the text...
I'm soooooo fedup with doing this everytime I put in a picture.
Is there in any way possible to edit this (in regedit or... )

Thanks Robert. I used the .txt file as an example. If I said I inserted a
Word doc or and Excel doc, one might sidetrack into the type of file I was
trying to insert, and its nature. A .txt file has no baggeage so the issue
is the application it's being inserted into.

I tried the instructions at

Default Language changes when new style set selected Word 2007

My default language is English (Australia). This has been set in Contol Panel
and Word options. New documents always open with the default language
correctly set as English (Australia). But if I decide to take advantage of a
different style set to quickly change the document presentation, the default
language always reverts to English (US). The same thing happens if I click on
